Male or Female

So, I decided to restart this thread where you will state your gender. The previous thread can be found here.
Something you might not know about it is that it was originally started by Dissension. There was a thread in "The Comic" forum that was derailed with genders, and I said something like "You should start a thread about it", and the next day, I see one started by Dissension. However, a moderator moved all the derailment posts from the derailed thread into the thread Dissension started, so it appears as if it was started by The Game.

So yeah, basically, I want this more organized than the last thread. If you post in here, please do not lie about your gender, do not say things like "I guess everyone knows mine" and then don't state your gender, and do not post "I don't want to reveal my gender" without a reason to why you don't want to reveal it. Do not say "I posted a picture in the show pics of yourself thread, so it's obvious" without linking to the picture! This is a lighthearted thread, but don't let the same happen to it as to the last one.

Hm... we have much more guys on the forum. Although I always knew it, it's kinda weird. Housepets really is cute. Don't girls like cute things? Or is it possible that guys like cute more than girls like it?

Like I've said before, there are usually more participating guys on the internet than girls, hence my "assume all are guy until otherwise noted" thing.

Usually, you only see girls on the internet when they're drawn out by the really really good stuff, like comics like Housepets and video games like Left 4 Dead. And even again, many would still be unwilling to reveal their gender for whatever reason of their own. For example, often times, girls in video games will leave their mic off to avoid harassment from jerks. Yeah, it's sad that some players harass or grief based on gender (or overall pitch of your voice; people tend to dislike younger players) but that's how it seems to go...

I'ma guy, btw. Not like that was any mystery, though.

I don't know about such feature, you should talk to the mods about it.

Also, I didn't know Liam is your real name. Like, not a lot of people use their real names as internet nicknames. Alex isn't my real name.

Yeah, it's the second, but in my eyes, it's the first one. The "original" first one got derailed before the end of Page 1. The point is that there are some people who are curious for no reason about other's gender. This thread allows them to satisfy their curiosity. Besides, is there anything bad on it? It's not like you HAVE TO state your gender.

I think there were other threads about gender before that one, too... More focused on seeing if there actually were more than just male members on the forums, but still. Considering the list up top shows one female member thus far, you'd probably be cutting out a lot of work just to update a list of girls.

I'm not exactly proud of my gender. I'm not ashamed either, but I'm sure if I were born with the other gender I would be just as happy.

I feel the same way. Why be proud of something that was an accident of birth, that wasn't an actual accomplishment of some kind?
