Actually, could I go into the semi-furry subgroup with Brent?

I just googled are you a furry (test) and that's what I got on the first page of the search resultsSleet wrote:Oh wow that test. Did I post it here earlier or is it a cool coincidence that you found it?
Oh cool. I actually was the one who made that quiz years ago. Small world!zero wrote:I just googled are you a furry (test) and that's what I got on the first page of the search resultsSleet wrote:Oh wow that test. Did I post it here earlier or is it a cool coincidence that you found it?
Well done on the quiz! It's very well written and I really like the depth of the feedback at the end.Sleet wrote:I actually was the one who made that quiz years ago.

What, I'm confused(is that Spanish?)Argent wrote:What if you're squamous and rugose?
Squamous means "scaly". Squamous cells are the penultimate layer of your skin cells, the ones that produce the layer of dead cells that protect your skin from drying out. They're called "squamous" because under a microscope they look like little scales. Because they grow rapidly to keep your skin from wearing away they are prone to cancer.JeffCvt wrote:A quick Google search shows that squamous is basically a cancer cell (skin to be exact), and rugose is an extinct coral.
And what, or who, might this creature be?Argent wrote:I will add that I do host an animal under my roof that is, in fact, simultaneously squamous and rugose. She is also carnivous and unfortunately bad tempered so must be handled with care.

Well that's what happens when I have an "I have a famous furry webcomic" question.rickgriffin wrote:Don't worry, I'm 84/75/74. I got everyone beat.
Housepets! is a furry comic?!? *explodes*Sleet wrote:Well that's what happens when I have an "I have a famous furry webcomic" question.rickgriffin wrote:Don't worry, I'm 84/75/74. I got everyone beat.
Never thought about the difference about a fursona and a avatar. I made the fursona with the intention that i do have some creativity and i just really like cats. I would feel like i'm shaming my mother if i thought, otherwise. =Pkurowolfe wrote:Lately, I've been seeing my fursona as less so, and more as an avatar of sorts in the furry world. I created him in my image, but ultimately I'm me, and he's just how I represent myself in the community at large.
Just wanna put this here, I guess. I still identify strongly with the community, only in a different light now.
You might want to get that looked at, it sounds painfulGameCobra wrote:Housepets! is a furry comic?!? *explodes*
Sadly the media will always focus more on the non PG side of any culture/ taboo. Simple Ignorance.Rico wrote: The media (e.g. that episode of CSI as already referenced somewhere here) seems to focus on the non-PG side of things. I'm sure being 'furry' goes deeper and I would consider most anthropomorphic comics 'furry', although I know others do not.
Dissension wrote:We don't really discuss the sexualized part of the fandom at all, this kind of thing led to a lot of furry threads being closed.
Rico wrote: It's a shame that many places frown upon fur suits. Even wearing a mascot outfit is seen as weird here. I'm however still a bit confused about the whole fursona and avatar difference!
