wait , "you only think that you think I'm here" , so the part that king thinks that pete's there , but he's actually not , is actually in king's head , so Pete IS there , but king can't be hallucinating for no reason , so the part that he think that he think he sees Pete might not actually be in his head...erm....*head explode from paradox overload*
Re: 2013/05/20 - And The Sentence Was Going To Be Déjà Vu
Kinda harsh, but your free to do that if you want. But King's life isn't the only arc type Rick makes.Felixthestoat wrote:This kind of sucks. I might actually stop reading the comic if King gets turned back into a human, which I have a feeling will happen. ARGH.
Re: 2013/05/20 - And The Sentence Was Going To Be Déjà Vu
So if Rick is really going to finish the Cosmic nerds story arc once and for all, what do y'all think King is going to do with this thingy?
Or Keene with that thingy?
Ideas anyone?

Re: 2013/05/20 - And The Sentence Was Going To Be Déjà Vu
Actually, just before he woke up, he was told that turning him back to human would require another act of magic, and she doubted Pete would agree to do it. Then the dragon was forbidden from doing it because he might count as any enemy player. That implies that Pete could turn him back. And King has definitely implied consent.Gbr23 wrote:I dont think Pete has the permission to make King human again cause as said here :Felixthestoat wrote: ... Pete can't do *anything* to King, unless King wants him to and by his own free will.

"Building up my legacy as that of a monster." How adorable, Keene actually believes people will relate the sudden and mysterious equalization of all beings back to him!

I get the feeling that Pete's not here to completely destroy everything that King loves

Re: 2013/05/20 - And The Sentence Was Going To Be Déjà Vu
Actually (and that could be the reason Pete laughed himself silly when Dragon told him to give King a break), Pete has all the interest to keep things as they are, since...King *owes* him.Mickey the Luxray wrote:I get the feeling that Pete's not here to completely destroy everything that King loves
and *this* further stressed the concept
So, like it or not, Kingy, you have learnt something and more. Though *you* worked your way up to a new and richer life, it's a certain meddling gryphon who nudged you in the right direction, and that - unfortunately - gives him an edge. So you better be a good avatar in return for a nice life with your friend and your soon-to-be wife

Its possible that he is just having an ordinary dream about Pete but there has never been an ordinary dream in this story so far. I kind of doubt it would be one now especially one that involves any of the Nerds.Argent wrote:Or else King's dreaming Pete's there, and it's just an ordinary dream.serence ice fox wrote:wait , "you only think that you think I'm here" , so the part that king thinks that pete's there , but he's actually not , is actually in king's head , so Pete IS there , but king can't be hallucinating for no reason , so the part that he think that he think he sees Pete might not actually be in his head...erm....*head explode from paradox overload*

If this arc is going to reflect the events of 'It's a wonderful dog's life', it's doubtful it's going to end with a 'wake up'. Not to mention that the best conclusion (and anniversary to the comic) would be seeing the wedding scene.

To put all of this in simplist turms ...IceKitsune wrote:Its possible that he is just having an ordinary dream about Pete but there has never been an ordinary dream in this story so far. (in my oppinion) Pete is sharing an image of himself into Kings mind so he can have a conversation with him so he can "be there without beng there."
There you go, dilemma setld.
Troll on people Troll on!!
The end of the King Arc
Well, Im going to give my opnion of the recent comic....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So it's is comming to an end, the saga of King the Dog...
Its walked a long way, but its finnally comming to an end...
King is going to marry, and Pete appeared behind him...
Of course Pete is not allowed to touch king...
But still, the way that the plot will walk seen very well know...
The same path of Bother Bear and many other animation movies...
An plot know as "Friend or Idol Decision"
King WILL BE TURNED INTO A HUMAN, by his free will or by being tricked...
He will see that his dog's life was better than his human life...
That he had... Everything...
He will then have to tell the truth to Bailey...
And she will have to accept the fact that King is a human...
The same human which once was a kidnapper...
After that, they will marry, and King WILL BE TURNED BACK INTO A DOG!
This time, he will be a Dog forever...
After that, this plot will had ended...
The perfect end to a perfect story...
An history that will be forever in our memories and our hearts.
The End.

Well, Pete showing up was something I didn't quite expect. I was more expecting Karma to come bite King by him having a turn getting PETA kidnapped right before the wedding.

Pete has produced the illusion of giving Joel the illusion that he is there!
Well, the wolves dog-napped him to get him to the party in the "Turnabout is unfair play." strip. But, yeah, it would have been an awesome plot twist to have the fat PETA guy back.Twilight wrote:Well, Pete showing up was something I didn't quite expect. The Cosmic Digimons get retconned out of existence with a magic shotgun and Bailey and King live together as dogs happily ever after.

got a gut feeling Pete has not change a single bit and he WILL turn king back, just to spite him; and nobody will believe him when he tries to tell the truth and gets locked up again. I hope to whoever above is listening that will not happen but still...i am just predicting the absolute worst.

What does Pete gain by changing King back to Joel?

Nothing. Turning King back to Joel would quite literally ruin his life. He'd be arrested and sentenced to inprisonment for MUCH LONGER, he'd be hated by his friends, and he'd lose Bailey in a heartbeat.

Ya know come to think of it, if Pete isn't allowed to "interfere" with King anymore what other options does that leave him with?
Just think it over a minute, it's OK I can wait.........................Have you guessed yet?
Who could King absolutely NOT want to live without, hmmm?

MUAJAJAJAJA! (yeah, I laugh in Spanish 'cause I'm Hispanic.XD) I AM BACK!! I returned from the dark void of nothingness after my ban-baptism granted by mr. squirrel-robocop! And now I shall execute my vengeance! (Nah, no hard feelings X3)
How I feel about this whole collective paranoia?
I am laughing so hard that I'm bleeding from my eyes! XD
I'm not going to comment about all of this because it's too silly. However, I assure you that King will not turns human again. Pete needs him as a dog if he want to make him his avatar.

You make it sound like Joel's life would be ruined forever and ever and ever. I mean, c'mon, people with worst criminal records have managed to amend and pull through in spite of it all! Joel WILL have a few pemanent scars from the experience, sure, but it isn't anywhere near the end for him!Mickey the Luxray wrote:Nothing. That Pete is speaking to King in a dream seems very likely. I am surprised at the lack of comments pointing out that Pete's words are not in black balloons, as usual.

I do... every one of them.
Re: 2013/05/20 - And The Sentence Was Going To Be Déjà Vu
I see that Game Cobra stated that Pete's not there, but with no explanation of how that was true. Others replied in ways that suggest the lack of black balloons as the explanation, so I guess that counts as having commented on the lack of black balloons. Therefore, I withdraw my previous comment, and will just say that I really enjoy this comic strip. I am especially pleased by the improved art style as the comic progressed. Pete obviously has something planned, probably at odds with his stated surrender. I hope King chooses to remain a dog and be with Bailey, even if that means he has to tell her about his past.
Re: 2013/05/20 - And The Sentence Was Going To Be Déjà Vu
Pete's been updated, I see.
