It doesn't count as a crack pairing if it's the kind of thing some (weird) people would actually support. A crack pairing would be like The Artist Eventually Known as Deathaxe and Mr. Sandwich.

Also, I find the term "hook up" distasteful. Today's society has given it all the wrong implications.

After checking TV Tropes your right I always thought that crack pairings were any unrealistic pairing. I didn't think it had to do with support of the pairing.
