(RCFM canceled) Meeting 2013?
Pending a series of factors, I may have the funds to be there in June and at last meet Rick. (RUN, MAN, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! KARISHAD, SAVE HIM!!!)
Anyone planning to be there? I'd love to meet someone of you guys as well.
I'll also post news on twitter at @ValerioPastore1
And now sorry, gotta go cross a LOT of fingers...

I may be there. I believe Sleet also intends to attend, if possible.

Within 2 weeks I should be 90% sure. I found very interesting discounts on flight+hotel (Ok, it's a 2-stars, 4 kms from the con, but heck, God gave us taxis for that)

Huh, that's only like a 5hr drive from me. Tempting.

Re: Rocket City Furmeet?
I wish Rick would venture outside of furry conventions and go to anime conventions. As it stands, I won't be going to any furry conventions in the foreseeable future so I will not meet Rick.
but have fun, those who are going.

Why not? Chicken?
I intend to go but I'm not ready to commit yet.

Of course he's not a chicken, silly. If he were, then he wouldn't have any reason not to go. Duh!
(Which makes me wonder how many people actually have a chicken fursona.)

*transforms into a chicken*
bawk.
but really, the main problem is having no money of my own and not wanting to tell my parents I'm going to a furry convention.
and also not wanting to spend the money to go to a convention that would likely not have many panels I'd be that interested in.
That last one is probably similar reasoning to why Rick won't be going to an anime convention any time soon.

I'll have to make the trip out to one next year when I finally have a car. I really just want to see what it's like. But as it stands I will unfortunately not be there this year.

Even if I could find the time (which I cannot), I wouldn't be able to attend furry conventions either. Sometimes we need to make compromises for the peace & security of our families.

...is it only my impression or the idea of a furry convention is to parents what holy water is for the nether beings?

To my parents, anyway. Some peoples' parents are totally cool with it. Some furries had small children with them at last year's MFF!

Re: Rocket City Furmeet?
I've never been to one, or have any real desire to go to one, but my parents would probably be fine with me going. As long as it doesn't result in and legal consequences, they are usually OK with anything I want to do.
Heck, I have my Mom's support to do a prank in school that involves the entire drumline dressing up as elves and chasing our section leader who would be dressed as Santa through the school hallways. (Before winter break of course.)

My parents would never know I'm going. But that's just because I like my privacy. My parent's wouldn't care, they've enver really "gotten" most of my interests but they had a very Laissez-faire parenting style. I just prefer to keep my dorkier hobbies to myself.

USA is on the different side of the planet for me. I don't know will I go there one day. But I wish I could.
Sounds like most of you are going to have a lot of fun there. Meeting Mr. Griffin in person seems to be a great event. I feel jealous for those who will gain such opportunity, but in a good way.
Lot of fun and luck to those who will be there I hope you will have a wonderful time.

Re: Rocket City Furmeet?
Okay some bad news
Due to some unfortunate circumstances and/or lack of foresight, RCFM will not be held in the venue it was scheduled for. And currently, they're not sure how to resolve this. They're looking into other local hotels, but the week they're signed for is a very busy one for Huntsville and very few hotels have open space. So, best case scenario may be that the date has to be changed, worst case, it will be next year. Which really sucks.

It does suck! Therefore, I propose Housepets!Con, a yearly event on scenic Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas. = P

Re: Rocket City Furmeet?
That would suck! I mean, as long as it's a weekend I'm sure I'll be able to get enough advance notice to ask off work, but I just worry about everyone else's schedules working out. Part of the fun of a convention is getting to meet some of y'all!

Re: Rocket City Furmeet?
Wow... that DOES suck. I was planning on going to meet everyone. I may not be a furry, but I do have furry buds. Also would be nice to say hello to the nice Mr. Furret.
Re: Rocket City Furmeet?
It was all conspiracy! They tried to do anything to not allow you to meet the nice Mr. Furret!

Re: Rocket City Furmeet?
...so now my only hope lays in getting a refund of the tickets or it will be sayonara.
