Gahr stood his ground. His voice didn't waver as he spoke to the more powerful entity.
"We live with death in our thoughts and our hearts every day. No amount of pain, be it physical or spiritual, can frighten us.
"Demon of the Green Flame..." He pointed an accusing finger at the creature. "You betrayed our trust! You knew we had treated our guest with honor! You took his free will, and made us believe he was the enemy! If you really care for him, heal him here, and now. We shall not interfere, for it's clear we do not hold grudges against the one called Shadowclaw."

The demonic panther made a step back ["I...I will give you a chance, wolf Gahr, but mind this - I will be watching. Should I sense even the slightest intention to harm Shadowclaw - I will interfere."]
The avatar's fur began to lighten and the green flame began to dwindle, releasing a small orb and the spirit trapped within ["You and this shaman will be given the knowledge of my goal - Shadowclaw's first and last defense. Once I release him, he will be sleeping for another minute. If he asks - tell him he blacked out for a while." ]
By the time the avatar said that, the transformation was almost complete ["Wolf Gahr, I put my trust and his life in your paws."] the feline came closer to Gahr put a paw on his chest and bowed lightly ["Catch him!"] the demon released Shadowclaws body and the ocelot fell on the wolf.

Michael nodded. "Come," he just said, then he and his brother immersed themselves.

Gahr grabbed the inert body, feeling it so limp.
"Well done, son," the shaman said.
What were they supposed to do, now?

Shadowclaw groaned and stretched lightly, opening his eyes, just to find himself in Gahr's arms
"Wha... What happened to me?" the ocelot asked "Last I remember, the shaman was explaining something and then... blackness..."

Gahr chuckled. "If he's strong enough to get free from my grip, that must be true."
The shaman shrugged. "Your loss, young one." And he downed the medicine. He smacked his lips. "Ahh, thank you for your gift, Jumanh!"

Tacite nodded and brought the ball to her face, observing its every detail, then set it down and took up her note pad, "What a wonderful device! we can't have music in the labs, just like most anything else." she wrote, "I like this place much more than the labs." the ferret gently bounced the ball, making little jingly noises

Tacite was grinning from ear to ear as she formulated a melody in her head. The ferret began to throw the ball at different angles, executing her song, a song that would bring to mind the ebb and flow of the ocean and the winds shifting the sand on the beach in a serene way. As Tacite continued to throw the ball, she scooted onto the soft ground and wrote out the sheet music version of her song, entitled "Blue Peak Shore", with the back-end of her pencil

The route was one simple. Down, down, among the corals and exotic marine life that would send any researcher jump with joy.
The resort's direction was very stern about that route, which led to an underwater cave -no scuba diving, this corner of rare specimens was to be protected by careless tourists.
The cave's entrance spanned 10 meters, and only a real pro could have gotten this far...
But when they emerged, a whole new world awaited them!
The darkness was broken by bioluminescent life forms, sticking by the walls like...fungii? Their bluish hue revealed strange insects crawling on four legs, while two were sticking out like mantises'.
And even the water revealed formations of tiny glowing 'worms' swimming in circles all around the three alien guests.
"Like it?" Humphrey asked the corgi while they floated in the middle of the subterraean lake.

Tacitē giggled as she caught the ball and wrote in the dirt, "I guess it's not the best piece I've composed, but I think it does justice to this island." the ferret smiled up at Virgil as she resumed the formulation of the song

Michael kissed his neck. "Yes, it has that effect. The first time Humphrey and I got here, we spent a whole day before we realized how much time had passed. It's called 'Stars' Cove'."
"And it's a discreet corner to cultivate our best feelings," Humphrey added, then holding the corgi to him, kissing him softly. "We love you, and we don't say that lightly."

Shadowclaw shook his head in slight disgust. He still couldn't believe that these wolves made their medicine out of their tribesmen. But with his amnesia, he wasn't sure if his tribesmen didn't use such kind of medicine.
"So.. uh... can you take me to this village you called... 'Arcania'?" The ocelot asked.

Roarin wrote: Flint gave Martin a crooked grin. "Tis not alcohol. There's no legal cutoff." He chuckled softly to himself as he he hiccuped again. Even though the Canaan just ate, he felt restless, shifting his weight from side to side and drumming the table with his paws. Maybe it was the soda, but probably not. Nevertheless he felt like he needed to get some fresh air. Pushing the chair backwards he stood up. "I'll be right back". He said quickly. "Think I ate too much, gonna take a breather." He pointed behind him towards the door. "Maybe walk around a little bit." He nodded apologetically towards the group before turning to leave for the door. Once he pushed it open, a blast of cool air hit him. He took a deep breath of the salty air and walked slowly down the road, feeling somewhat better. "Should probably go back in what? Five...seven minutes..." He said to himself, shrugging at the indecision. *Hiccup!*
Martin stood on the table for 2 more minutes, before standing.
"I think I'll go after him." he said and headed towards the exit.

Tacitē shook her head and wrote, "I've never felt the need to. I've heard of well known composers who are pets, but I don't have access to anyone who could push my songs through to the producing world. Plus I can't sing, so that puts a cap on my demographic. I suppose classical, jazz, and electronic are options though." The ferret shrugged

Gahr nodded. "I'll lead you to Arcadia. Let me arrange for an escort."
---
"Well, you'd be surprised: the resort uses pet artists, in fact the direction encourages them." he chuckled. "You *must* be spending more time working than you think. If you want, you can write music and play it, if you're good enough."

The lycaon girl that sat happily on Balkan’s bed quickly rose as she heard his voice call out to her.

Balkan!” Charlie called out with a smile, moving to the canine and wrapping her arms around the wolf. “And how is my big wolfy?” she asked with a curved smile, rubbing the canines stomach in a gentle movement with her paw. “You know, I’ve been making daisy chains, I guess it’s one way to get my mind off of the fact that I still have not seen my dad yet…” The girl admitted, shaking her head slowly and sighing. "Hold still honey." She sighed, slipping the chain of daisies she had in her right paw, over the wolf's neck. "There, much nicer. Now you look like a huggable little wolfy." She joked with Balkan, kissing the male's cheek lovingly.

I need to see him dude…and talk to him, it’s been a few days since I saw him now…he’s going to wander what the heck is happening. But he knows I can take care of myself. And what with all that stuff happening at the resort…I just…I don’t know dude…” She spoke in a mouthful, leading her mate outside the hut and resting her head on his buff arm.

"You have walked a perilious way, for being such weaklings," Koros said, looking forward, her voice neutral, while they proceeded among the endless green realm. The thickness of this jungle, the height of the trees with strangely-shaped, enormous leaves...everything gave the visitors a false perspective. The city that had loomed so near a few moments ago was, evidently, still far. Your friend is not even a shaman, while you have just started. I wonder what Hara had in mind to send the two of you."

It's definitely tempting, but I can't promise anything yet. There isn't that much left for me on the mainland but it is still home. I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it.

Lars felt discouraged as he had been casually labeled as a weakling from Koros. He exhaled a big long sigh as he shrugged, adjusting the sleeping Randy on his shoulder. ''Trust me, I'm as curious and confused to why Hara had sent me here, Koros. It just took a near death experience to have an ancient city like Zilnawa awaken within my visions.'' Lars said. ''By the way, you look very beautiful Koros'...'' Lars said, staring at her strong and streamline figure from head to toe.

By the Gods....what AM I DOING?! SHUT UP LARS! Lars thought, shaking his head and rapidly slapping his face with his free paw. He still had Diana and Athena back home. It would be such a shame to come back to his two mates with him having an affair with one of the sacred lioness guardians of Zilnawa.

''Koros, not that I'm complaining or anything...but...how much further do we have to travel?'' Lars asked.

The lycaon brothers swam to the rocky edge of the lake and helped Adrian to sit up between them.
"I see what you mean," Michael said, his legs dripping in the water with an almost musical sound, causing ripples in the luminescent microlife. "But what you call 'trouble' is 'normal' for us. And here you can live your dreams, not just dream them."
Humphrey nuzzled the corgi's neck, licking the salty water. "We'll respect your wishes, though. But remember, every time, every moment you will need someone to rely on, we'll be here for you."

Flint's grin widened and he crossed his arms. "Aww, you were worried.". He chuckled and punched Martin lightly in the shoulder. "Jumping on the big brother train pretty quickly aren't ya?". He turned back around and continued his walk. "I'm just takin in the sights. Kinda weird... Never thought I'd settle down...". "Again...". He added after a brief pause. He swifty flipped the subject. "But what's this about showing your 'good side'? What are you?". He asked jokingly. "A dog hardened by a tough past. A scar that hasn't healed yet?". The dog added with light humor. None of what said was supposed to have been taken seriously.

"Revered!?" Shadowclaw exclaimed, then quickly quieted down, once again shaking his head "I didn't do anything to deserve this, shaman." He looked in the wolf's eyes "Why are you doing this? Why do you act as if I'm someone of importance, when I'm not even aware who I am." The ocelot asked "Why?"

Martin wasn't sure how Flint managed to guess correctly from the first time, but he wasn't the kind to let his guard down easily. He grumbled something quietly, then fixed his eyes straight into Flint in a serious, cold look "You're right, but its nothing I want to talk about, okay?" He said with a tone, which he wasn't intended to use.
The shepherd quickly took control over his voice and continued with calmer, quieter tone "It's none if your business, let's go back. They're probably waiting for us already."
