Minor Sorrow: It's been hot for the past couple o'days.
Joy: It has cooled down a bit today.

Joy:Her prognosis is really good so far and it looks like they caught it early so right now we're just trying to stay optomistic.

That's good that they caught it early, but still, that's a lot to deal with. Sorry, man.Seth wrote:sorrow:Found out my mom has breast cancer

Sorrow: Lots of paperwork to fill out tomorrow. Also got to wake up early.
Joy: The rainy season is starting

I really hope your mother recovers. I know all to well how the feelings that process through one's mind when one learns a loved one or a family member has any sort of cancer and staying optimistic is basically the best thing I believe one can do. After all without hope one despairs.Seth wrote:sorrow:Found out my mom has breast cancer

(Forgive me sorta emo sytate)
Sorrow: Still trying to beat off the bug I caught a week ago. I can't sleep in my bedroom because I just sneeze and cough like crazy now when I'm in there too long
Sorrow: Seth's sorrow has earthed up memories of my mother this time last year. It was a bleak time back then...
Sorrow: Going to have to see a doctor, going to be embarrassed doing so too.
Joy: I feel this year could be a big changing point in my life for some reason. I've been considering trying things I could never get up the courage for 5-10 years ago.

I could beat that him/her in a fight. *bricked*
Re: Joys And Sorrows
Sorrow: I cut the tip of my right middle finger halfway off while cutting a box. I had to get 6 stitches and it cost over $300. Can't go to school because I can't drive with the painkillers in my system. I also had to get a tetanus shot. My right hand is basically useless, which is awful because I'm right handed.
Joy: I went to the Medicare across from the Lexington County Hospital. They were extremely nice. Instead of putting the lidocaine in the cut, he gave me a block (put the shot at the base of my finger) which was awesome because it didn't hurt as much.
Also, I timed myself to see how long this message took to type with my left hand only: 6 minutes, 36 seconds

Sorrow:My 360 needs repair and it's out of warranty agh.
Re: Joys And Sorrows
Sorrow - Just woke up coughing like mad. Coughing has subsided for now but now something is irritated, can't get to sleep (only managed about 2 hours sleep) and something I coughed up looks suspiciously like blood. Overall, NOT a good way to be woken up prematurely.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
Joy: I presented my group's biomedical engineering senior capstone project for my school's annual Senior Legacy Symposium (which we were specially selected to attend) and it went extremely well! Our professors were impressed by our project. Even more awesomely, a professor of the physical therapy department adored our device, advised us to "not drop this project when we graduate because if we do someone else could make millions and we're going to wish we had instead." She even called over the head of the physical therapy department to look at our presentation. So basically she thinks we could possibly become millionaires off of it. Also I think we probably got an A.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
O.o With that kinda praise I certainly hope you get an A...if not I dare not think what it would take. Also the fact it could make you millions means it could help a lot of people I think, so go you and your group, 'tis awesomeness that it is.Sleet wrote:Joy: I presented my group's biomedical engineering senior capstone project for my school's annual Senior Legacy Symposium (which we were specially selected to attend) and it went extremely well! Minor Joy: My skill at drawing/sketching is slowly improving to the point where I don't hate everything I'm putting on paper. I still have a long way to go, but it's nice to find myself looking at something I would be/am willing to share when I'm done now.

It is the style. It is known as that because the Founder was taught in a Taoist temple in the Temple tradition. There is a religious side to the Society, but not the style. You can learn this form no matter what you believe in. It is a purely noncombative style for health benefits only. There are combative styles, but not this one. I am happy to be an Instructor there.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
That sounds like a horrible idea. Especially if it's JUST a milkshake.
Re: Joys And Sorrows
Swallowing a whole pepper shouldn't be too bad since it's usually the seeds that are spicy

Sorrows: I've been jobless for almost 3 weeks now. Hopefully I can find a new one. I've got some unpaid phone bills to settle. Now it's just interview after interview...and I'm being rejected day after day.
My Economics exams are in 2 weeks, and I'm mighty nervous even after the intense mugging that I've done.
Sigh...
