Joy: I get to lay around and be lazy tomorrow! A very rare thing for me indeed.
Re: Joys And Sorrows
Sorrow.
*sigh* It's been a very rough week for me, guys. A friend of mine passed away in a car accident Monday afternoon, and I've known her since I was 11 years old. Tuesday was spent with my whole high school crying and mourning our loss. Yesterday I had to deal with people that actually had the nerve to be blatantly disrespectful to the deceased and her loved ones. Today I was broken out in two incredibly itchy rashes, one which turned out to be stress hives and the other an allergic reaction to new laundry soap. But that's kind of a major improvement over my original thought when the rash came from- I thought I had poison ivy/poison oak from hiking in the woods with a short-sleeve t-shirt on three days ago. And my friend's funeral and candlelight ceremony is tomorrow. This is gonna be rough.
Joy: Going out Tuesday night to see my best friend and boyfriend (and each of their families) really lifted up my mood after crying all day. Everyone at school is really acting like a family instead of classmates right now, and one of my co-workers (I'm off duty and using wi-fi right now) just came over and cheered me up. Through the support of everyone, my second family, I know I'll make it through this.
Anyways, off I go until who-knows-when. I'll probably be active/on very frequently next weekend, but I'll be checking and returning PM's until that time. Later gators.

Good luck with that.
I've lost classmates due to car crashes, but never a close friend.
Hope you feel better soon, I can only imagine how you feel.

glad to hear you have people to help you through this tough time. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to lose a close friend.

sorry to hear that Beagle, it's always tough to lose someone to something seemingly random like that. Hope you can get through it relatively unscathed.

Joy: Last weekend I went to Chicago and visited some really awesome friends I made there last year when I spent a year with them in a volunteer program! It felt like home!
Sorrow: I came back to my parents' house Monday. I wanna start thinking about moving out despite only working 30 hours a week max as a cashier at a grocery store. Coexisting with my dad is uncomfortable.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
I'm confused now. "Keyboard" can refer to a computer keyboard or a musical instrument. The only company that makes either called "Razer" that I could find makes the former, but "it sounds amazing" is a comment you would make about the latter. What are we talking about?

Minor sorrow: I think it's possible my Lenten fast from soda has caused me to drink enough milk to give me mild carotenosis.

yeah, you kind of are. if you choose to not drink one thing, you need to drink something. Milk isn't bad for you, so it's a good choice.
and it just mean (s)he's turning orange. it's benign and reversible.

I naturally drink a lot of milk. When I'm thirsty and I can't drink soda, I'll want to drink milk usually (though occasionally I'll drink juice or water). And since it's healthy...ChewyChewy wrote:Water comes to mind.... Also my diet consists significantly of tomatoes and things I can eat with tomato-based condiments. I really love tomatoes. Apparently milk and tomatoes both contribute to this condition, soooooooo...
And I don't have lactose intolerance.
Just a tomato allergy.

I occasionally want to look Sleet up and down, then smack her and shout "What are you doing this to yourself for, young fox!? As a would-be doctor, you should know better!" I'm weird, though, and don't necessarily believe in intentionally exposing oneself to things one is allergic to.

I don't really drink much soda anymore, and I'm fine.
I've been getting by mostly on water, occasionally fruit juices.

Sorrow: Fell violently ill around 11 pm on Friday, spent all night getting intimate with the toilet. Ugh ... I'm feeling a bit better now but I've still barely had anything to eat or drink for the past 24 hours.

Re: Joys And Sorrows
Thanks, everyone. I'm feeling a lot better today (yay, solid food!), and the doctor prescribed me a couple different anti-nausea medications, in case this happens again (which it probably will).
Also, holy carp I think I lost like five pounds. o_0
But anyway, Joy: I think I'm going to be allowed to pretty much lay around and do nothing all day. xD

My week so far:
Major annoyance:
My wisdom tooth decided it's time for it to break though. Several effects from its action include:
- Inability to close mouth, which when combined with increased salivation, causes me to drool literally like a dog.
- Inability to eat anything solid, swallowing plain rice and plain water instead.
- Passing out for the first time today, while playing games online no less.
- Sleeping like a log most of the time today, not finishing any of my work, including that final presentation that is due next Thirsday...
- Having to eat painkillers for the pain, and I hate taking medicine.
- Can't spend time with my friends.
Sorrow: My room's littered with my falling hair, and you can actually see bald spots on my head.
Sorrow: I miscalculated my weight loss, and I actually lost like 11kg, not 5.
Joy: I'm still alive, and my mind's a little more sound this week (no rage issues or depression)
Tehe, sorry for the spam. Just felt like releasing everything I have for the past week and start anew tomorrow :3
