Mosh pits are awesome. I can't remember if the paramore concert I went to had one or or not. It more than likely did.

Sorrow: two more days until the surgery. :( had to do an orientation today at the dentist office and they made me and my parents watch a video(yes, watch a video) about how the procedure works, and all of the complications that could possibly happen.

I'm afraid i may have a mistake, and missed out on something...MASSIVE to me. Just because im scared, and unprepared... In all honesty I think this must be this way, But I cant help but just get sad. I feel like its yet another horrible example of my "Safe" metaphor in effect.(Sort of an inside thing that only attendants of a certain irc channel know of, but to sum it up... its me locking myself in a safe to run away, and hurting myself unintentionally in doing so)

I like listening to music without risking physical harm. I want to turn on my mind at a concert, not off.

It depends on the band, if I was to go to, let's say a smashing pumpkins show, I'd probably just want to enjoy the music. But if you're going to see a band that made their mark by being one of the heaviest most brutal bands around a mosh pit greatly enhances the expierience.

And personally I find the visceral nature of a mosh pit to be quite freeing. Don't underestimate the theraputic qualities of thrashing about and making a fool out of yourself for a couple hours. :P

I'm pretty quite and subdued in my evryday life, ditching that to act like a maniac for a few hours is incredibly fun for me.

Most pits are always optional. I've only been in one once, crazy stuff.
Seth, thrash metal pit and death metal pits aren't much different, but when I think of a mosh pit I think of thrash metal that really gets the crowd going.

Is this the music thread?

Hehe, I've seen those eyes in more than just Naruto and Pokemon. It might be one of those generic anime expressions. Either way, it was pretty funny x3

Also, JOY: State-mandated standardized testing!

... Why is that a joy? Because I've already passed all the tests! So next week, all week, I can come into school three hours later than normal. Life ... is good. ^_^

Joy: straight Cs in results. They're my target, so I shouldn't complain...

Ironic part...I did best in Physics and worst in Maths. I expected it to be the other way around. I've been told it was because I focused my revision schedule on Physics, which in retrospect is true...

Is it better that I got a better Physics grade, when I had the potential to maybe get a better Maths or Religion grade, but getting a worse Physics grade as a consequence? I guess that's up for debate.

Joy/Sorrow/poker face: got my AS level exam results back today :|

Massive sorrow/facepalm for ultimate stupidity:
Yesterday I decided to take action against this annoyingly huge ulcer on the side of my tongue so I took a largeish measurment of TCP and gargled it. (now for those unfamiliar with this product it is a antibacterial fluid mostly made up of CONCENTRATED PHOSPHORIC ACID that feels like it was used as a torture instument but stopped due to health and safety regulations) now after I gargled this I spent a few minutes enduring a searing pain on my tongue before spitting it out. I then checked the back and realised that you are supposed to dilute THOROUGHLY with water before even considering putting it even near your mouth... I have now pretty much burnt off all my taste buds and the worst part is that troll of an ulcer is UNAFFECTED!!! RAGE! please someone tell me there is a chance taste buds can grow back pleeeeeeeez!

Whoa... That was a poor decision, buddy... I think your taste buds might have a chance to heal, considering it's somewhat like a scald. Kind of like eating really hot food. It burns your tongue, and you can't taste stuff for a while. I'm no doctor, but I'd say you'll be alright. Since it was an acid burn, it may take some time to heal.

I've had my wisdom teeth out, and I don't think I was concerned about that.

At any rate, recovery was quick--only one flaring up of pain, on that first day.

Yikes!

So sorry to hear that. :( But yes, I would be surprised if taste buds did NOT grow back--I think the only cells that DON'T grow back are nerve cells.

But yes, you have to be VERY careful with any kind of medicine. I once O.D.'d on Aspirin, and I did that on PURPOSE. Bad tummy problems after that.

Joy/Sorrow: Had the extraction this morning. Went by pretty quick, and I don't even remember being put to sleep. I remember them putting the oxygen hose on me, talking to the doctors for a bit, and then nothing. But when I woke up, the first words I heard were, "Hey, you want some hotdogs later on?" and then me, half unconscious, said, "I could go for some hotdogs." Actually, I don't know if that really happened, considering I was still out of it. It could have though.
I'm have quite a bit of pain on the left side of my jaw from where they had to pry it open during surgery. I'm taking Advil and whatever drug was prescribed for me, so I'm okay for the moment. I also have an icepack for the swelling.
