There is nothing wrong with powermetal. I admit that it is not for all tastes. And Powerwolf is not cheesy and nowhere near as out there as Dio. That comparison is unfair! I love them!

If it is a bit too polished and technical for you, try this song:

Six Feet Under - "Lycanthrope"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTgtkLDGz2I

Usurper - "Return of the Werewolf"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2MGXf2ZXMk

I would have posted "Werewolves' Curse" by a grindcore band called Mortician, but once again it had some very gruesome album art that might offend. It starts with an audio sample from "An American Werewolf in London".

Cryptobeast by Usurper, a truly excellent thrash album.

On a related note, I've been listening to Pantera a little bit in the last couple days.
If I wasn't so tired I'd be ready to break #### right now....

Cemetery Gates is up there as one of my favorite metal songs. The solo at the end is one of a kind.

Also, another amazing song from Dark Tranquillity.

That's actually the first Pantera song I ever heard.
They certainly were one heck of a band.
Probably their best song

Thought I would transfer this over from the movie thread.

"Suspira" by Goblin, from the film of the same name.

"Mater Tenebrarum" by Keith Emerson, from "Inferno", the sequel to "Suspiria".

Sorry that I made you feel such unease, Inali. But, the Assyrians have a tendency to be very unforgiving.

Try this Nile song instead.

The title is almost longer than the song itself.

Good thing YouTube has a replay button again

After having looked up the lyrics, it makes for an odd breed of motivational music.

technically, it was almost 2 seconds of silence, because the song is only ~1.3 seconds long. world's shortest song.

it'll have to be less than a second... ooh. a concept album with many songs that are a second long, give or take, that, when played together, will make a longer song.

I personally like grindcore. Mortician is one of my favorite bands.

If you like short music, this album might be worth your time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_Musi ... ort_People

All the songs are less than a minute long, there is 99 songs and it is less than 50 minutes long.

It has bands like Gwar, Anti-Flag and NOFX.
