Joy: Decent weather lately

Joy: A online mate and I found a game we enjoy playing together. There isn't very much we share in common when it comes to gaming, so this makes for a nice change.

Sorrow: Couple of days ago, I left the water in the sink. Woke up the next day to find a drowned mouse in it....I'm so damned lucky I hadn't had an inspection for a while. Also mice have chewed a hole thru the wall in my bathroom, going to hate to explain that when my flat gets inspected next....

Ok so I'm secretly a mouse who lives in a boot. What you have never seen rescue rangers before?

Joy: I'm nearly done with Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword! *squee*

Joy: I just feel good today.

Sorrow: Nightmares a LOT lately.

Sorrow: My grannie claims that I badmouth my family. I don't. ¬_¬ I complain about my creepy aunt, but I don't badmouth.

Sorrow: I somehow cut my finger.

Fail: I meant to save someone from my church's email so we could stay in contact and I could get info about what was going on, and I cleared out all of my inbox, sent messages, and literally everything. Including our emails. I forgot to save her as a contact. XD

I'm mixed between Joy, Sorrow, and Terrified.

I'm going to college next year.
Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled that I am going to the college that I want to go to, but I know that it is going to be a huge change.
I know the work load is going to be different, and living on my own will be difficult at first.

I am sad that I will be leaving home, because I love being with my family and my friends.
Another thing, I'm going a year earlier than they rest of my age group, because I skipped 7th grade. So I will be going alone. I don't know anyone there.

The fact that my life is going to change in less than 8 months is more than I can fathom.

The thing that I am scared of the most are the people.
In high school, I have been asked to drink, among other things, on more than one occasion, and it was really easy to decline, but this will a lot more intense. I have no problem saying No to this, but I can't go home at 3:20 anymore.

I know that college is fun, and that it is exciting, it is just plane terrifying to me.
My entire world is going to change in less than a year.

Can anyone else relate to this?

well honestly not much changed for me in my transition last year. I still don't have many friends, my work load isn't that much but I guess it depends on your class load.

I would suggest you join a club of some sort to make friends. good friends that will respect your wishes to not drink.

I have actually never seen the point in getting drunk when your underage.
You risk getting in legal trouble, it forces you to be stuck in a house, and you don't have enough will to stop yourself from creating harm to others or getting hurt.

I'm also hoping that I don't get unlucky with a future roommate.

I have actually never seen the point in getting drunk period, for the same reasons.

The closest I ever got was when I finished a SMALL bottle of wine which gave me a buzz, but didn't make me drunk. Even THAT scared me, and I knew I did not want to experience it ever again.

I hope it's your college who's the exception. I really do.

There are some alcoholic beverages I don't mind, but I'm turned off by bad taste, so there are only a few whose taste I like.

And I stay away from the hard stuff--if it's more alcoholic than wine, I don't want it. And I don't drink it to get drunk or even get a buzz, but only for a combination of the taste and for my digestion.

The closest thing I've ever been to (or will be) being drunk is when I had a small glass of champagne at Christmas this year with the family. It gave me a severe headache for about twenty minutes and made me so incredibly tired that I don't want anything of the sort. At least not for the time being. Plus my grandpa is a drunk and I never want to be like that. Ever. :|

Seriously, though, you don't have to be a teetotaler, just be responsible when it comes to something like alcohol.

Everyone is evil to some extent. We're all located somewhere in the spectrum of sadomasochism. KizerZin just revels in tormenting others which is understandable. Its not a matter of morality, there needs to be someone that tortures and someone that's being tortured. It would be nice if all that didn't exist, but it does and no one can do anything about it.

Sorrow: Well, I've had just about the worst day. So, me and my brother had to install a TV and my brother was blaming me for having to do it because w were supposed to do it yesterday but I wasn't home. So he starts treating me like crap which I'm used to, but than he punches me and punches me until he just leaves, things were said, and now I'm sore. I hate it here sometimes, its days like this that lead to me just siting in front of my X-box, doing nothing but get fat.

Well there is something to that line of thinking
we all have evil impulses/thoughts/ect.
But it is possible to rise above the darker side of one's nature and not act on them (or more likely realize they aren't impulses that should be acted on and at least try to restrain yourself)

well, not to that extreme, but nobody's perfect. not in body, nor in mind. we just can usually tell right from wrong.

now let's stop debating the dark tendencies of the human psyche and get back to joys and sorrows.
