I Finally got a fursona.
His Name is Seth Sheperd | He is a cat (just in case you can't see that)
Zander drew it for me, and I vectorized it and gave it some Bob Marley Flair.
Look for his Story | Coming Soon O_o
Download and see his interest

I have to be honest, when I first glanced at the picture, I thought it was made by Zander. Just like Brent I guess. Shows that Zander's art style is unique. ^^

Re: Art Thread
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics
Vector graphic, as opposed to raster graphic, instead of using "colour blocks" as in pixels to form a picture, uses geometry instead, dots, lines, curves etc.
Vectorization, as technical as it could sound, is simply represent the original pixels in the form of geometry shapes, which in turn consists of lines and curve. The most significant advantage to this conversion is that you could resize the image or "shapes" without quality loss, since whenever you resize it, the geometry shape is recalculated in references of its controls points with its designated coordination in the work space and form the same shape with the different size, instead of just enlarging/shrinking the pixels in raster graphics.
That example above you see, the strokes' (varying)thickness and length data are stored in the form of "strokes" as in vector graphic, and can be anything from line to curve, this way you have the freedom to freely edit each strokes: its length, thickness and even colour etc, individually, without the trouble of erasing and redrawing/recoloring or the risk of blurry picture or messed up lineart. So basically, a vector image file, when read by a compatible program/software, it's telling the program on how to construct the pictures, using the data stored in the vector element, thus the file is usually smaller, as opposed to Raster format, which stores the colour information of each individual pixels. Of course it depends on how you use it. While Raster graphic is a more comfortable and direct way to work with as it gives a more closer sense in drawing and designing. While it is possible to merge two medium together and work with it, it'll take skills and practices, while taking efficiency into account.

Considering a lot of alien designs look rather reptilian, I'd venture these are not unrelated concepts.

Re: Art Thread
The bright white on the top half of the head looks out of place - A light grey might have been a better choice. Additionally, the shadows on the clothing are not very noticeable. There should be a higher contrast, and the shadows themselves should follow the folds of the clothing. Overall the picture is not badly done, though.

Re: Art Thread
I will have to agree that the pure whiteness of the forehead does look a bit misplacement, but I do think there is no problem with the rest of the picture. Though I am not all to art savvy. Good job. ^^

Well this is the first time that I have really sat down and colored something.
I'm not going to change the white b/c that's how I originally pictured it and I like it that way.
But thanks for the advice =^.^=
