I don't exactly have a ponysona unless my RP character counts as one.

and he does have a cutie mark relating to his name.

My ponysona is named either Snow Angel or Snowblind (female or male, respectively). (S)he's a white unicorn pony with a caduceus cutie mark and has healing magic.

i always like that song, no matter in what style it is made. ^^

and about the ponysona thing, back when being a furry meant something for me, my fursona's color was black fur and brown hair and tail. when i thought of making a ponysona i just thought black fur and brown tail and mane would do nicely. :3
only problem now is, i know my super special talent needs to be psychology, but i can't think of what the pony is. unicorn or earth pony? hepl?

Hmm...I'd go with unicorn. It would make holding the pen and paper to take notes easier.

you'd be surprised, but a lot of psychologists don't write stuff down during sessions. i personally have never been to a psychologist (i had a child one, but those don't count) but i hear thats how that works.

@sleet: well, its a possibility. but it just seems a bit too... "supernatural" for my taste. i'v actually been struggling with the cutie mark for this thing for a while. any idea is helpful, and as such, your idea is much appreciated. you wouldn't happen to have another idea for a cutie mark, would you?

@Jack and Penwrite: It's when Twilight asks Spike if he ever went to the Gala. If she raised him, she would know that. Also in that episode when AJ and rarity are going to sleep at Twilight's house, she says that Spike is doing "official business at Canterlot". which also implies that he's was assigned to Twilight, but he still has royal duties back in Canterlot.
That's the conclusion I had after re-watching these two episodes.

i was thinking you were gonna say that, but i was gonna use that second argument against yours. it means she did raise him, but he isn't always there, because he has other duties, therefor he may have been at the gala before, even if just for a short period of time.

she did hatch him you know.

I know she hatched him. I also like to think of them as sister and brother too. But it sill begs the question of why she asked him that. She lived in Canterlot before Ponyville, she also knew beforehand about the Gala's existence and since it's a major e3vent everypony would talk about it also also the day it would happen. If Spike had to go away for some oficial business, at the exact same moment as the Gala happened, don't you think she would have asked him about it sooner?
Don't get me wrong. I want to be proven wrong, since I like the sibling relationship idea. But the facts I get from cannon are shopwing me otherwise...

also, about spike. lets say it isn't just the writers being lazy. spike dislikes the gala, remember? he only got excited to go because every other pony was going! so even if he was there, maybe he wouldn't find it an interesting topic to talk about?

I agree with you that Spike would think the Gala wasn't a topic he would like to talk about, but it doesn't explain Twilight asked him that because of the reasons I said earlier. He didn't seem reluctant to answer. If twilight had just invited Spike (and not asked if he ever went to the gala) and he had answered "I don't like that fru-fru nonsense". I wouldn't have come up with the conclusion that Twilight didn't raise Spike.
I think he was assigned to her as an assistant BECAUSE she hatched him. And he also has to leave periodically for official business because his primary employer is Celestia or someone else in Canterlot
