Page King, huh?

Anyway, we'll see whether, as some think, Peanut is on the path to recovery or (my opinion) he's still crushed and is only masking his deep pain. Of course, that might be a little darker than Housepets! usually gets.

Emphasis on "path." Obviously nothing's been resolved yet--they need to talk things out and apologize and try to do better in future and all that....

But what you said IS darker than Housepets! Why can't it be possible for someone to be on the mend? Just because that never happens for me is no reason it can't be true for some people....

It's not wrong for him to be healing, I just don't know how much time has elapsed since the roleplay ended. It seems to be pretty much right on the heels of the last strip, so Peanut hasn't had much time to explore/overcome his negative feelings yet.

Haha, from my experience, "There's no happy ending, so they say / Well, not for me, anyway..."

i mean it's not like it's the first time he's been in a painful situation like that

on the other hand i wonder why grape complains a couple times about being left alone before the farm arc and then pretty much rejects peanut constantly since coming back from it
I was going to make a joke but then I did.

What worries me the most about Peanut is how deeply he mightbe affected from this outcome in terms of writing.

Grape butted in too much and went so far as to tell Peanut that it's all wrong. I"m sure Peanut is recovering already in the last panel there from his venting trip from the first two panels, but whether he'll stick to his old ways or if he'll adjust to Grape's ideas more is the question i'm wondering about.

But another bigger question is will Grape notice this? or more interestingly, Grape, Max and Tarot? Max and Tarot are just playing along, but they seem to not notice how badly Peanut is being affected by this outcome at the moment.

Compared to before, Grape didn't know anyone but Peanut. Now that she got someone besides Peanut to hang around with, her priorities changed a bit. Whether they are permament or not will take time, but i'm sure if she notices what she's doing to Peanut, that will go away.

It's like that Chocolate Ice Cream i said i would never stop eating.
Then suddenly, Vanilla Milkshakes came into the picture.
When i realized i wasn't eating that Ice Cream, i became sad.
But i didn't want to make the Milkshake feel abandoned.

In the end, i decided ~ I shall have both. then everyone's happy!

From what I can tell from the new comic it seems as though Peanut's mind/imagination as been crippled, due to how he drew his new episode of "Spot the Super Dog." Which is sad and depressing because of how he made it, which is very unlike him, since he is one of the nicest person/pet and would never think along the lines he is now. But how much of his mind/imagination has been crippled, is too hard to tell right now, but from what I saw and read it seems as though he is "spiraling down" or "staled" and is hard to tell if he will pull out of this fast enough before he hits the ground. I mean look at him in that last panel he looks a bit crazy,sad/depressed, and desperate and that tends to be a sign of something "breaking" so to speak in ones mind.

Its hard to say what Grape or the rest of the characters/cast, will do or react to, what I think can be called Peanut being depressed or in a depression. But I think it's safe to say that Tarot will be the one to comfort him first and possible Grape a little later after everything has sunken in and if Tarot goes to talk to her about Peanut. But I think Peanut will be a bit hostile towards Max though.

Like I have said about previous updates about Peanut are going to come true. Mainly about the "flood gates breaking" and his"dam" cracking and then his "dam" breaking.

Are you?

Joking, of course. No, it's not over. See the end of one my previous posts. You're doing fine: when the emotion get high, or emotions are high, almost everyone starts wavering. I do it all the time, and may yet do so in near-future updates. But if you ever need to vent, maybe you should get some shears and take it to the pointy bushes! <amused grin>

I don't know if it's losing faith as much as everyone trying to explore what's going on in the story from our own perspectives. Some of us are dark, dark folks, but I don't think anyone's going "There's no way Peanut and Grape can be friends now; Housepets is ruined for me."

The pup's clearly upset, but trying to feel better. I'm looking forward to seeing how Grape was affected and the denoument of this arc.

You may be right on the part were Peanut's "dam" breaks.

Now I seeing where this going in 4 different ways

A. At the very least, Peanut is just venting by drawing "Spot the Superdog" comic and it will just blow over
B. It is only step one with more outburst yet to come and Peanut is just a tickling time bomb ready to go off at any time in his current state.
C. Peanut does into this "dark" depression. (Not good)
D. Peanut makes up with Grape and Max. And vice versa.

If Peanut's feelings toward Grape don't come out this arc, or the one directly following it, I DUNNO WHAT I'LL DO.

.. Probably wait impatiently for the arc when it does happen. :v But yeah that's my prediction. What happens after that I dunno.

Hmm, maybe the "dark" depression thing is be a bit much. Come to think of it, I just don't see that happening, well maybe in someone's fan fiction. I just sit back and watch this arc play out.
