While rubbing, of course, she wasn't staring only at Spike and, noticing the still-running treadmill, leaped up. "Hold on, hon, I should go shut that thing off," the Greyhound added, jogging over to the exercise device that was moving faster than some Olympic sprinters and pulled the key out, effectively shutting it off. She then returned to Spike and hugged him from behind.

Alexander wiped away the beads of sweat that formed on his forehead, with the back of his hand. It was the frog overlord, somehow he had managed to capture Richard and now it was a final showdown."So i see you managed to find us Alexander the conqueror, but you are too late!" the overlord scoffed. "For i have started...the timer!". A mischievous smile apeard on the imaginary green frogs face. It was the same thing all over again, Alexander was in a heat soaked canyon somewhere with some other fiend trying to harm his father Richard, who was hanging in a cage over a bottomless pit.

"Son, I believe in you, you can save me!" suddenly came from the cage
"Dad! don't worry I'm coming!"

Alexander looked up too see a rather large black LED display board, showing a timer ticking down quickly. Alexander took in a deep breath, threw his cape over his shoulders, and charged at full speed towards the frog overlord. The overlord laughed again before jumping down from the ledge he stood on, and extending his sword. Alexander withdrew his sword and clashed with the frog overlords at full strength. they fought valiantly one strike after another weakening each other greatly, before Alexander quickly threw a punch at the overlords face. The overlord fell to the ground heaving heavily.

"ahh!-okay you win Alexander!" the overlord croaked, then his mischievous smile returned his, hand quickly flung the blade in a rotating movement towards the rope holding Richard in place.

"DAD! NO" Alexander shouted, but it was too late Richard had fell into nothingness. "no..." Alexander whimpered, tears welled in his eyes. then the overlord got up, and snatched Alexander's sword from his grasp.

"i...always...win" the green figure snarled, before slashing the sword across Alexander's throat

Sweetie are you awake?, Nisha said gently tugging the earphone out from Alexander's ear, she was careful to keep her eyes on the road as it was raining very hard. We are almost there dear. Her melodic voice was enough to awake the sleeping hound, Alexander's eyes shot open. He quickly put his paw to his throat, then sighed in relief "just a dream" he muttered under his breath

"Did you sleep okay hun?". Nisha said ruffling the soft fur on his head. "I slept...alright mom" Alexander lied, but Nisha could see through it. "Was it the dream again?" she asked in a soothing voice, keeping her eyes glued to the slick wet road ahead. Alexander looked down and sighed "...yes". "Oh honey I'm sorry about that" Nisha said pushing her black curls behind her ear. "I promise when we get there, ill get you some camamile tea to help you sleep okay."

Alexander looked over to his ipod's screen. "it's 6:00 pm mom how long did i sleep for"? Alexander asked looking at the song that was playing. "Well we left around noon, so you slept for six hours". Nisha said smiling, she was happy that he slept through most of the car ride. Alexander looked at the glowing screen closer. "Slow life By Grizzy Bear mom?" Alexander asked yawning and wiping some sleep from his eyes. Nisha giggled "I though you might like some soothing music to help you sleep, and it worked too". Alexander rolled his eyes and selected the song just once more.

"Actually Weiss, let's stop by the supermarket first. I just ran out.", said Cesium as he instructed the cab driver to make a detour before the corner to his street.
"You and your mentos...", commented the ferret as he reclined back to his seat while he waited for the additional time to pass.

It wasn't very long before they arrived at the supermarket and the two got off the cab after paying the driver. However the ferret seemed unamused with the way the fox paid for the fare.
"Oh, I got those yesterday when I went to an amusement park.", Cesium told Lacooni.
"But ew, old bills.", ridiculed the ferret with a matching reaction as they entered the store.

In the supermarket, a certain ginger and white cat was sitting idly on an empty bench at the waiting area. He stares blankly at the heavy rain outside the window, with a bag of groceries next to him. The cat sighed, and thought, "Huh, how long will this rain last anyway? If I don't get back on time, I might not be able to be home on time, and Dad will need these to make dinner tonight. Your luck's not working today, Tuah."

Tuah sighed once again, and glanced around in the spacious supermarket. "Well, at least I'm not caught in the rain, that would've been bad."

Suddenly, he saw two animals entering the premise, talking among themselves. One was a ferret, and the other was an Arctic Fox, if he recalled correctly from a book he read once. Both of them are dressed nicely, almost human-like. He had never seen any of the pets here dressed as such, and he had definitely never seen an Artic fox in real life, and he couldn't help but stare at the duo from afar.

"Seems like there's quite a few people stuck here because of the rain.", said the ferret as he looked around the store. "Well, it's probably because there were no signs that it would have rained earlier."
"Well the raid did came by suddenly, though there was a light squall earlier.", said the fox as he headed in to the grocery area.
"I'll go find a lane, so hurry up and just grab a bag alright?", said the ferret as he separated from the fox.
"Sure thing.", agreed the fox before going to the concessionary section and grabbing a large bag of his choice. Oh how I missed your crinkle., he thought as he hugged the bag back to the check out lanes, meeting with the ferret again who was already next in line.
"So I called a cab and they said they'll be here in 15 minutes.", said the ferret as he walked out the lane.
"Oh, thanks. So we just wait then or did you..?", asked the fox as he handed a ten dollar bill to the cashier.
"Nope, I didn't expect today to go as it would have.", replied the ferret as he started looking for a seat. "10 o'clock, by the ginger tail."
"Alright.", said the fox as he took the bag of candy from the booth back into his hands.

The fox sat next to the ginger cat while the ferret sat after the fox. Ten seconds after they did, a constant popping sound came from the fox eating a dragee every three seconds while the ferret seemed to be bus on the phone talking in another language.

Tuah noticed that the fox and the ferret was approaching him, and he was suddenly felt more aware of them. He shifted away as fast as lightning and as far away as he can when the fox sat next to him, the ferret following suit after him. He tried to look away, but the speed of the fox downing the Mentos like they were drops of water, and the loud exclamations by the ferret as he talked into the phone, got the better of him. He stared again at them both yet again, albeit still keeping to himself at the end of the bench, and unconsciously holding his breath while doing so.

The ferret looked at the cat, "I need to go, I'll call again later.", he told whoever he was speaking to on the phone before he abruptly collapsed his phone back into a ball. "Sorry, was I being loud?", he asked the cat while his fox friend continued downing candies.

The ginger cat was startled when the ferret asked him the question, and initially wanted to run away. But, he remembered what Dad said to him the other day in their apartment, "Come on, Tuah, you need to be more sure of yourself, and more assertive. Be brave out there, alright?"

Remembering that, and Dad's gentle smile while saying so, Tuah gathered up all his courage and pulled out his notepad and pen, writing something quickly, before showing what he wrote to them.

[No, it's OK, it's just me acting weird]

Realizing the absurdity of what he had just wrote, the cat quickly withdrew the notepad and looked down in sheer embarassment.

Alexander tapped the glowing screen, and allowed the slow strumming of the guitar to relax him. He remembered how he could feel the cool of the blade slash across his throat, it felt so real to him. Alexander shiver slightly, then spoke " i...i couldn't save him this time mom", Alexander said looking up at the cars ceiling, hearing the sound of the dulled rainfall muffled by the music.
Oh Al...i'm sorry honey, when we get to the doctors, they can give you something to help it. Nisha said, carefully placing her dominant hand on top of Alexander's head and tugging at the lavender fur slightly.

"what...what if they don't go away this time", Alexander said sighing as his mother stroked the fur on his head. "Oh don't you worry about that hun, we're going to the finest Vet, Doctor Johan Waisbrenger" she said proudly. "And what if he cant help like every other vet we saw", Alexander said, listening to the rain splattering against the window.

"You will be fine sweetie" she said taking her hand of his head, "and i have something for you in the back too" she said, her face appearing proud yet again. Alexander pulled out his earphones, and placed his ipod down, he reached around the back seat to see a small box with the famous Vortrax inc logo plastered on the front. Alexanders interest was now peaked, as he swiftly took the box in his paws and returned to his seat.

"You're going to love it sweetie, It runs Vortraxe's latest Global Positioning Technology".
"Erm...right mom" Alexander scoffed, as his paws quickly pulled at the cardboard boxing. Inside was a small rectangle shaped device, that had the Vortrax logo on the top of it. "Turn it on" Nisha insisted, Alexander rolled his eyes before pushing in the button, at the lower left hand corner of the screen. The Device lit up and an electronic voice said "Now Detecting", Alexander raised his eyebrows, as the device quickly determined where they where. soon a small window opened up on the touch screen saying where they were and what the weather was. The voice came back on and said " You are five minutes away from destination, it is currently 6:01 pm, touch the sensor to show satellite view" the voice said. Alexanders eyes were now wide "MOM this is amazing", Alexander placed his paw over the sensor on the device, a Vortrax Inc Error message appeared on the screen. "...yeah...amazing" Alexander said as he powered down the device and placed it in the box.

Nisha laughed "well we cant have that view up yet silly, we haven't launched the satellite yet" "oh..yes of course mom" Alexander said rolling his eyes again, and placing the box down in his lap. "Are you hungry baby"? Nisha said smiling at him, Alexander actually hadn't eaten since that morning, he nodded slowly. "There's a super marker coming up soon". "We can go there and get something for you to eat okay hon". Nisha said, yet again playing with Alexander's velvet fur. "Yes, yes alright mom" Alexander said, pushing her hand off his head. Nisha laughed as she continued towards the supermarket.

Tuah's eyes followed the ferret as he proceeded to the washroom. Somehow, that grin and his intonation seems to be hiding something sinister, and he felt uneasy thinking about what the ferret might be thinking about. The fox's short question brought him out of his thoughts, and he looked away for a while, contemplating whether to answer or not. Then, he wrote:

[Yeah, been like this for some time now.]

The cat looked at the pure white fox wolfing down his bag of candy, and he could not help but write:

[You really love that stuff, don't you?]

He paused for a while, looking at his grocery bag, before continuing:

[I just hope I'll be able to get back home for dinner, or there won't be a dinner to speak of.]

As he showed this to the fox, he smiled sheepishly, and rubbed the back of his head. Somehow, he felt a bit more at ease with this complete stranger, and his body relaxed.

The cat smiled softly, and nodded. He took one of the candies from the large bag, and popped it into his mouth.
"Sweets. It's been a long time since I had this," he thought, sucking on the candy.

Tuah pondered at the offer. On one hand, he's a bit apprehensive of his ferret partner's actions, but on the other, he felt like this fox is someone who's dependable. Finally, he looked up at him, with a decision, and wrote:

[Is it OK kah? I don't want to trouble you any further, but I would really appreciate it if you do though ---]

He lingered for a moment before finishing the sentence, but he did anyway, and without realizing the slip-up, showed it to the fox.

The fox didn't bat an eye while he read the writing in front of him. Instead, "Kah? By chance, are you an immigrant sir?", he asked while thinking of where he remembered that word being said.

Tuah was stunned when the fox asked him that. He looked back at what he had written, and facepawed himself. "Gah, not again!"

But he was more surprised at the content of the question. How did the fox know that he was not from around here? He certainly was not from his homeland, that much he is certain. And he had never seen anyone living here that came from Malaysia. Well, at least not yet. So, how did he know?

Curiosity overwhelming any of his initial reservations, the cat hastily answered:

[Why yes, I'm from Malaysia, a country far away in the Asian region. I moved in here with my father a couple of months ago.]

He then continued, slower this time:

[Sir, how do you know I'm not a local resident here just by looking at what I've written? Most of the people here just thought it's just some sort of quirk of mine.]

The fox gave a very odd look with his eyes completely round and his mouth to the side upon reading the question. "Yeah, line was too long so I decided not to. It's not like I had to go I had to go yet.", he claimed before taking a seat beside the fox again. "Let me guess, he's coming along for the ride?", asked the ferret with quite an elated tone.
"Well I'm still waiting for an answer but you had to interrupt thirty seconds early before I got his reply.", replied the fox to the ferret in a silly happy tone before turning back to the cat, "Mmhm, sorry about that. So, would you allow us to bring you home?", he asked once more.

Arin kissed Spike again, staring back into his eyes and seeing a bit of happiness and that he was genuinely sorry. She smiled. "It's alright. Just don't do it again or I'll have to think you're doing it on purpose." She embraced him and gave him a tight hug, and then let him go to head back to the treadmill, starting it on its program once again and getting on.

Konnie laid on the side of her bed staring out her window at the dark rain clouds that loomed overhead and stretched across the horizon covering the land in an achromatic tent that instigated an eerie feeling of premature darkness. Konnie couldn't help but simper at the weather outside feeling it was a perfect outward manifestation of her inner feelings. “I am all alone… I wish dad never took that new job… And I wish we never left Baltimore.” Konnie thought to herself change her focus to a single Brown moving box that contained reminiscence of her past life, a box of bootlegged DVDs from former her best friend Kyle, a semi-broken iPod she found in a dumpster and repaired with duct tape, and lastly her mother's broken collar; although she never had the opportunity to know her she always liked having it around.

Konnie flinched a when she felt sudden soft hand on her shoulder, quickly turning behind her to see who was. “Oh hi mom, I didn't hear you come in. Still feeling partially startled."

Ms. Tyler still holding on to Konnie shoulder dropped to one knee staring Konnie directly in the eyes ensuring she had her complete attention. “I know you weren’t fond of moving, and that you probably resent your father and I for forcing you to come along with us, but I promise everything will be alright your just going to have to trust us we know what's best for you.” Wrapped Konnie in a warm hug given her a tight squeeze holding her in place. “I love you Konnie.”

“I love you too mom.” Replied Konnie trying desperately to break free from Ms. Tyler’s bear hug.

Ms. Tyler broke the hug and stood back up on two feet. “ I am glad we had this discussion Konnie, and I promise you things will get better in time, but for now let’s just worry about dinner. I need to pick up a few things from the supermarket, care to join me?”

Konnie Nodded and grabbed her umbrella from the closet and proceeded outside with Ms. Tyler.

The cat nodded, and smiled to the fox, after watching the ferret rushing out of the doors. He put back his notepad and pen into his sling bag, slung it around his shoulder, and lifted the groceries bag. He felt touched by the kindness of these strangers, these good samaritans. They even bothered to buy a fine bottle of wine!

It's only when they started towards the doors that he suddenly realized, he haven't even asked their names, or even introduced himself yet! He almost facepawed himself again on the spot. He recalled the ferret calling the fox Esses, but he was not sure about it. So, pulling the notepad and pen back out, the cat wrote something in a rush while still holding the groceries bag, before showing it to the white fox:

[Sorry, I don't think I've introduced myself yet. My name's Tuah, Tuah Rezki.]

The Chrysler minivan pulled up into the wet Parking lot, "oh shoot no parking spaces left". Nisha said, yet again pushing her curls behind her ear. "There's someone pulling out over there mom" Alexander said pointing to the car that was backing out. "Good eye honey" Nisha replied smiling, as she drove into the parking spot, in a rather wonky position. Alexander gave his mother a blank stare, "hey the wet roads are hard to control" Nisha said, pulling on her leather jacket and opening the door.

Alexander began stepping out the car until Nisha said "sweetie put on your jacket, it's far too cold out here", Alexander nodded and grabbed his wool jacket, slipping his arms into them he smiled. "Good" Nisha said before closing her door, and walking off to the entrance of the store, Alexander was still clutching the box in his hands, but his mother had already locked the doors. He shrugged before placing the box into his jackets pocket, and quickly ran towards Nisha. "So honey", "we're going to need to grab a few things as well" Nisha started, a loud grumble was the response that Nisha received. She laughed again, "But let's get something for you to eat first", Alexander nodded in response.

Nisha and Alexander made their way to the front of the store, before Nisha Noticed a ferret, cat and a white Fox standing out in the rain. "Oh look at those poor pets Alexander, I hope that they are Okay" Nisha said in a worried tone. She then yelled out to them "Hey, are you guys alright over there, your not stranded are you?"Alexander then tugged at Nisha's jacket "Mom what are you doing!? they are complete strangers!" Alexander screeched under his breath. "Oh but Alexander look at them, they are pets with shopping, it would have been a bit different if they were people". Alexander shook his head and said "mom honestly your empathy for things like this, is going to be the death of you" Nisha looked at him and shook her head.

The rain pitter patted on the rusted roof of the classic dodge as Ms. Tyler began the arduous task of starting the car. The ritual began his always had with a mighty twisted the key, a strong pump on the accelerator and little bit patience as the car never started the first time. After a long moment of performing the starting ritual the car let out a sharp wine followed by deep bellow, almost as if the car was possessed an evil spirit or angry creature didn't much appreciate having its slumber interrupted. With one last kick to the accelerator the engine finally started causing the car to shake violently and the exhaust to spew out twin jets the thick blue-black smoke that clogged and blacking the air behind the car it slowly took off in the direction of the supermarket. The numerous screeches and cries of the vehicle made having a casual conversation impossible for the occupants, forcing the driver and riders alike to have to yell at each other in order to be heard.

“MOM I THOUGHT YOU SAID WE'D BE GETTING A NEW CAR WE MOVED. I'M TIRED OF FEELING LIKE A RECIDIVIST ON THE SHIP OF THE DAMNED EVERY TIME WE GO OUT!” . Konnie Said struggling to snap the worn out seat buckles on and just giving up leaving her safety fate.

“WE STILL ARE GOING TO IT’S JUST BE CAN'T DECIDE, SEE YOUR FATHER WANTS TO BUY AMERICAN WHILE I WANT SOMETHING MORE RELIABLE. UNTIL THEN WE JUST HAVE TO USE WHAT WE GOT AND HOPE HOLDS TOGETHER TILL WE MAKE A DECISION. WHY DON'T YOU FIND SOMETHING ON THE RADIO FOR US TO LISTEN TO UNTIL WE GET TO THE SUPERMARKET?”

Konnie leaned over and started changing the radio stations attempting to find something agreeable they could both listen to on the short ride. ”I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DON'T HAVE ANY HIP-HOP CHANNELS HERE.” She said with a tone of unhappiness before choosing on one of the many local pop channels that seemed to play only the same three songs continuously in a loop.

As Ms. Tyler pulled into the supermarket she notice there was a rather large a lack but after about 5 min. of driving in circles she finally found a parking space in the way back of the lot. “Okay Konnie we only have 45 min. to go shopping and I would like to have dinner started before for your father comes home so no dillydallying okay?”
Konnie Nods and grabed her umbrella exited the car and following her mom and to the supermarket.

I wonder if I did that right. So hard to add anything beyond saying my name... "I'll introduce you to the ferret later.", he added, "Although he has quite the character in introductions... Anywyas, let's go then.", he said as he pushed the stepped outside through the automatic door.

Outside, the ferret had pulled out an automatic umbrella and as he was deploying the umbrella, it seemed like the edge of the umbrella caught on the hat of an approaching little girl, sending it flying to the street. "Oh my, what an unlucky lady.", commented the ferret as he followed behind the girl who rushed out into the street.

Cesium lifted a brow as he heard a woman causing him to look into their direction. Some people are too hospitable... "Nope, we're just fine.", he replied in his normal voice as he disliked yelling, but more particularly any loud sound. Loud sounds such as one that was definitely metal impacting metal. Cesium quickly dropped to the floor on his back wincing in pain muttering something about 'devilish loud sounds'. Moments after, a black umbrella fell in front of konnie who was just arriving.

Tuah smiled warmly at the compliment. His name is a lucky name, a name that came together with a loving father and a better life, as his thoughts drifted briefly to the momentous day. "Cesium ... What a unique name! It really fits him," he thought when he heard the white fox reciting his name uneasily, nodding to signal that he understood. He followed Cesium across the automatic doors, putting his stationary back into his bag. Once outside, he immediately he shivered from the almost frigid breeze blowing from the rain.

He then heard a woman yelling at them, asking if they're OK, quickly followed by the screeching of a fit black dog, tugging on her jacket. Tuah stopped in his tracks, old fears gripping his heart like a metal claw, paralyzing him. He hates it when anyone, people or animal, yells at him; it reminded him of his damned days on the street, being shouted at by everyone together with the hurt that they inflicted on him, both physical and mental. He was, and still is, scared and scarred for life...

Cesium's response to the question jolted him back to reality, and he glanced at the fox next to him. Just then, a loud crashing sound emanated from somewhere in the parking lot, sending shockwaves across the area. Tuah almost jumped out of his fur, but he managed to regain his senses quickly, albeit from a heart that was beating furiously. "What just happened?!" he thought, looking around frantically to see the source of the crash.

He heard a soft thump muffled by the sound of plastic and glass hitting the pavement. He quickly turned his gaze to his side, and saw Cesium now laying on the floor, writhing in agony. Tuah dropped his load and immediately knelt down next to him, panic and worry intermingled and strewn across his face. He laid his paws gingerly on Cesium's shoulders, afraid that he might add more pain to the fox, and gently shook it. "Cesium! Cesium! Are you OK? Come on Cesium, speak to me!" Tuah mouthed as loud as he could, but knowing that nothing will come out. He cursed his inability to speak at the moment inside, as the cold winds continued to flow around them.

Cesium then calmed down, stayed still before opening his eyes as though nothing happened. "Oh hello there. Did I make you worry?", Cesium asked Tuah who was staring down at him. He looked to his back and saw the cause of his agony, "Another automotive accident?", he asked himself before he closed his eyes and sat up. "Ew...", he said as he continued on his way to a stand. That's about all I need to say these aren't just your everyday accidents... "Sorry about that. My ears can't stand loud sounds. Especially those that are of that magnitude.", he informed as he held his shopping against his chest with one hand and dusting himself off with the other.

Tuah let out a sigh of relief while closing his eyes, just glad that Cesium was not hurt anymore. He then opened them back, and nodded slowly when the fox explained his circumstances to him. The ginger cat followed him to the stand, offering to hold on to Cesium's bag while he brushed himself off.

"Hmm?" Tuah pondered at that instance. "Another accident? What does he mean by that?" He couldn't hide his puzzled expression as he thought of this.

Nisha shouted in terror as she watched the pet fall to the ground. "Mom! wait here i can help him" Alexander said, quickly sprinting towards the fallen pet. Alexander reached them just as the fox had gotten back up, and brushed himself off. A look of relief spread across Alexander's face, before questioning the very being of him. "HEY...are you...are you all right!? Alexander said tilting his head slightly. What is this guy made of Granite stone or something...

"Hm?", Cesium wondered as he was asked. "Yeah, I am but I wonder if I can say the same for the driver of the car.", he said though not even bothering to take a second look at the crash.
