That will give felix a chance to go home to dye his fur, an make himself look like a beautiful cat.
Felix nodded once, shortly, and then said, turning to go, "If that's agreed, I'd better go get into disguise..." He walked off, in the direction of his make-shift home. When he got to the house, he scrabbled at the door for a moment, having a little difficulty with the doorhandle. As it turned out, his injured hand wasn't much use in twisting stupid doorknobs. He sighed, using his good hand to fully open the door, calling inside on the way. "Magnu...Auurgh?!?" The name morphed into a wordless shout as he was ambushed, suddenly finding himself lying on his back a second later, dazed, staring up at the somewhat cloudy sky. Magnus' face bobbed into view above him, the dog looking utterly miserable and upset, nearly on the brink of tears. Felix, however had no pity, even though the Dane's expression would have been heart-breaking to anyone else. The flying tackle had hit him in the upper chest, straining his hurt shoulder, and he had hit his broken hand on the way down to earth as the momentum carried them outside and to the lawn. Both injured body parts were now throbbing in complaint, along with the back of his neck, which had whiplashed slightly from the sudden unexpected impact. "Get off me, you *mmmphmphmmmph*!" Felix hadn't gotten the insult out of his mouth fully before one of Magnus' paws clamped down tightly over it, obscuring speech.
"I'm so s-sorry, Felix," Magnus whispered, voice low and pitiful, "But m-my dad said I had to catch you, or I'll g-get into big trouble." Felix felt a couple of the Dane's warm tears drip onto his face, and he tried to move his arms to take a swing at Magnus, or maybe wiggle out of the big dog's grip. It was no use. Magnus was just too strong, stopping Felix from going anywhere or fighting back, pressing down on Felix's chest and arms with a lot of his weight, to supress movement. The raccoon was lugged up off the ground, into the crook of the big dog's free arm, held similarly like a football, except Felix somehow doubted footballs got held quite this tightly. He could hardly breathe, the Dane was squeezing him so much. Magnus started heading quickly back towards the house, carrying the miffed 'coon. Felix, though, wasn't having it; he didn't know what sort of means Magnus had to detain him after they got home, but he was certain he didn't want to find out. The smaller animal jerked his head visciously back-and-forth, loosening the Dane's grip on his muzzle. And then, while his mouth was somewhat free, he chomped down, hard, on the dog's hand, angling his front teeth so that they would dig as deeply as possible into Magnus' skin. "Owie, owie, owie!" Magnus yelped, at the top of his lungs, bringing his hand away from the raccoon's face. Felix used the momentary distraction to squirm, wriggling enough to get close enough for another hard bite. This time, his teeth closed down on Magnus' upper arm, the one that was still trying to hold Felix in place. The Dane released him with another chorous of thunderous yells, and, without thinking, lashed out at Felix with one clobbering hand. The raccoon dodged, panting for breath, agilely dancing back a few paces, distancing them.
"You stay back, big guy," Felix warned, holding up both hands in defense like before, wincing from the pain in his shoulder and hand. "I don't want to hurt you, if I can help it." Magnus stared at the raccoon, sniffling, then looked down at his hand and arm, which still hurt from being bitten. When he looked back up, Magnus' face had resolved itself into a shadow of the expression Pavelle usually used when she was glaring.
"You bit me!" Magnus accused, angrily offended, and charged. Felix jumped out of the way, but at the last moment Magnus turned, just enough to let one long arm find grip on one of Felix's hind legs. The raccoon was pulled down to earth, rolling with the impact, kicking, but Magnus had already secured his other hand on Felix's other leg, and started literally dragging Felix towards the doorway to the house. Felix raked at the ground with his good hand, trying to find purchase, but the weak grass just pulled loose in clumps, and too soon he found himself in the living room. He rolled onto his back, shoving once more simultaneously with his legs, the movement causing Magnus to stumble. The raccoon took the opening, bending forward to grab Magnus around the throat with the hook of one elbow and his good hand. Panicking, Magnus released Felix's legs to claw at his neck, accidentally giving Felix the opening he needed. Before Magnus could break free, Felix scrambled up over the dog's shoulder, wrapping his legs tightly around the Dane's waist, holding on. He latched himsef, with all his power, to Magnus' throat, trying to choke him out before the dog could really inflict some damage and hurt someone. Magnus flailed his limbs in distress, knocking over the couch, the bookshelf (again), and a small table. Felix panted from exertion, though still had enough breath to snarl, "Magnus! Stop ****ing fighting and give up, you stupid, mangy dog! Grow a ****ing brain and think, for once!" Together, their scuffle was generating a lot of noise.
Meanwhile...
Hmmm In this case, we need to find a good well paying job, instead of just a busy work to keep the pet out of trouble type of job.. Here we go, the Dalmation who does the paper route in your area, is moving away so that is opening up. Hmmm A place called the wall is looking for a couple of pets to serve there pet patrons... Any of those suit your fancy?
Pavelle's eyes lit up at the prospect of honest money, and she wondered for a second why she hadn't thought to get a real job before. Possibly she hadn't wanted to be quite so... controlled, kept under watch, but know she was willing to do anything for money, especially since she was having more and more trouble stealing from her neighbors. It was hard to take things from people you actually knew, especially if it made you feel guilty afterwards. "Uh," she said, at a loss for words, contemplating both options. They both seemed pretty nice. "I can't deczide."
((Sorry about the long post, and whatnot...))
