I thought it was just silver nitrate that turns skin blue?

We're both wrong. Colloidal silver, like any silver compound, can cause argyria. Not just silver nitrate.
However, silver nitrate
does kinda turn you blue.

I just remember in science, people were putting some sort of solution on themselves (I thought it was silver nitrate) to turn their skin brown.

Copper nitrate is a blue powder. I don't think it stains.

That's not very nice! I find Copper very personable

Now, next time you're exposed to silver nitrate, you won't have to worry
Also why are the quote buttons so buggy today, I've always thought that was weird, since these forums run relatively smoothly otherwise.

Yes, but it won't stain. I imagine it takes contact for a while to irritate; if you wash your paws right after touching it you're probably fine.

It doesn't "wear off" so much as you lose all your skin and replace it.

You lose skin and replace it quite a bit, you know.
I'm not sure if Sleet meant that though, or if (s)he meant more like "horrible skin injury that heals over time".

Your skin is replaced every three weeks or so. It is constantly falling off in tiny, unnoticeable amounts and being replaced.

Don't really know what to quote to say this, but I find it a tad annoying when I'm reading through past pages and find a conversation I really want to comment on, but the current conversation has moved miles elsewhere...
And double cream and sugar is called a double-double here! I was told that was a Canadian thing... Could be wrong...

You know Cobra's from Nova Scotia, right? Or maybe you do and that's why you said that... I dunno.
Anyways, Coffee and hydrogen cyanide are related! I get them confused all the time. Quite embarrassing

And, erm, that does sound rather embarrassing (and toxic)?

Yeah, it's killed me several times. It's getting a bit annoying, I think they need to make the labels more prominent

Some days I say that about other's conversations... but mostly I say that about my own. It'd probably be beneficial to my health if I had no idea what the conversation was about...
