Yeah, sounds like it focuses on international politics of the 20th century. The Cuban Missile Crisis is part of the Cold War, by the way, but that's beside the point. Is there much on the World Wars in the class? From what you listed it sounds like you deal with the conditions in the surrounding years but not much with the wars themselves.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:is it twentieth century history, because that was offered in my school.YingBlanc wrote:I don't know what the whole subject is called but the topics are Peacekeeping 1918-1919 and the League of Nations, Hitler's Foreign Policies and The Cold War 1954 onwards (I think) and The Cuban Missile Crisis
I wish I had that class available, it sounds interesting.
US History is interesting too, but you don't get a lot of context. Like, you'll be in the middle of the 19th century, and the textbook will include a throwaway line that says "oh yeah, by the way, back when you were reading about this other stuff France's government was being overthrown." It's a bit jarring.
