It's also the source for some great comedy when a stereotypical American tourist character gets angry because he ordered chips and got fries. Hyuk yuk yuk

I'm fine with that, but what about fish and chips... they still call those chips but their chips right? or were they fries? I can't remember.
I'm southern but the stereotype is funny to hear. ^_^

Yes, it's chips in American English version
I don't know why I decided for crisps, cause in Poland we also write "chips".

Victor? How exactly was he a hero? He created a being that he then devoted himself to distroying and or running from.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
No, He is not the hero. there is no hero in that book it is based on the principal that Both Victor and his creation were twisted things that eventually distroied each other.
Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Well, then he's the protagonist. You don't have to be a hero to be the protagonist.
Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
I agree, but try explaining that Victor Frankenstein is not a hero to an English teacher who got her degree via mail.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Victor Frankenstein does fit the mold of the greek Tragic Hero. Your teacher is not wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed that book. A very good read. Though I enjoyed the musings of the monster more...
And Coatl, I thought you were foreign because of how you phrased certain things in your fanfic. Sorry about that.
Oh! And as a southerner with a pronounced accent, I must accept your apology, though you never needed to in the first place...

It is a virtual cake, so it is technically a lie, if that makes you feel better, Brent.

the promised cake was a virtual cake, so as long as the virtual cake is delivered, it was not a lie. I wasn't complaining, merely making a joke.

Valve does, and where does bacon come into this? It went: Crowbars -> Cake -> Hats -> Potatos.
