"Heh, Rikki and I cleaned up the abandoned chapel, before the snow threatened the structure. There'll be a lot to do, in spring, to fix the essential, starting from the roof. So, may I be introduced to our new neighbors, before we go stuffing ourselves at Mom's?"

"Welcome back Valiant, Rikki. So how about your house first then Valiant, then around to mine that ok?" Ying asked getting up from the bench and walking to the pets "Valiant this is Charger and Grey. Not sure where Saphia went though."

Grey shook the metallic paw "I'm Grey O'Mardar, good to meet ya' Valiant" Grey said to Valiant "well, I think I've caused enough trouble here, I'm goin' to head home for a while..." Grey started to say Oi! Remember Rule 2! Grey thought "actually, I'm going to find Saphia, if you see her down here, let me know, I'll be looking out from up there" Grey said pointing up at a tree.
Grey ran towards the tree and jumped up, grabbed a branch and climbed up onto it. "Lance, Dakotah,Darien,Valiant, If anyone needs me, I'll be perched up here" Grey then looked from his high perch, trying to locate Saphia.

Destiny smiled at Will, and answered gently. "It's a necklace. They're worn for style and sometimes for a more meaningful purpose," she explained. She knew Will was quiet, but figured he would speak out eventually. She was happy he chose to speak to her.

After Saphia was covered in snow, she ran over behind another tree, trying to get farther away from the battle. She sat down again, closed her eyes, and listened. Oh no, I left Grey! Saphia remembered. I think he will be fine. He seems like someone who enjoys things like this. Saphia sat there for a while. She started to notice a lack of snowball fight noises. She stood up and opened her eyes. She made out a group of animals in the distance. Looks like the snowball fight is over. I should probably go talk to them... Saphia started walking towards the group.
((OOC: Sorry I didn't post sooner. I was at school/asleep when all this stuff happend))

Archimedes had been standing in the background watching to see where things would happen once their sleeping friend came out of it. When the guy with the metal limb came up, he stepped forward a bit to look, plenty of curiosity coming to mind. Various science magezines had covered prosthetics before, from the small ways they were getting better dexterity to scientists best efforts at hacking the brain so machines could read it and use that to move.

"Interesting" he said, "so, um, does that detect the movement of other muscles or is it one of the newer ones that ties directly into your nerves?" Right after he asked, he felt like he'd shoves his foot into his mouth, but this was something he'd read about and never really seen.

Valiant maneuvered his right arm and flexed the fingers to show how smooth was the movement. "It ties directly into the nervous system. My brain commands it just like it would do with my natural arm. It's a prototype the Pentagon provided me with for helping two of their soldiers. Cool, eh?"

Grey looked around until a sight of blue fur caught his eye. Grey walked along the branches of trees until Saphia was below him and he jumped down and landed right behind her.

"Hey Saphia!" Grey said as he landed "So where'd you head off to? I didn't see you when the snowball fight ended" Grey asked "Also" Grey started to say "you have a bit of snow on ya' shoulder there" Grey put his paws into his jacket pockets, holding something in his paw.

"I've read about these, but I hadn't thought they were beyond lab tests yet" Archimedes said, continuing to look at the arm. "Definitely cool."

Two golden brown paws lifted a metallic one, as they clasped around it suddenly. "Why it's a veritable swiss army knife! It can punch out bad guys, it has a GPS and a phone, and it can dispose of annoying alarm clocks with ease!" Darien chimed in, sticking the tip of his tongue out at the last part. "But most of all, it belongs to my mate!" He smiled, then turned to gaze after Rikki. "Wow, look at her go! I haven't seen her run like that since last time your Mom made her favorite for dinner..."

"That's the first I've heard of engineers putting that stuff in those" Archimedes said, as so far scientists had only published their work in connections, nothing but adding extra stuff in there. Next they'd be plugging brains straight into the computer and getting the computer to talk back to it directly.

Just after he said that, he saw a ferret? He hadn't paid total attention to everyone here, but he did see something comparable to a little streak go darting off. "Who and or what was that?" he asked.

Valiant rubbed behind his head. "Well, the phone/GPS is just a communicator, very simple technology, not a smartphone. And it makes sense: you wouldn't want to go on facebook while avoiding sniper's fire, for example, heh. I guess that sometimes playing the hero has its benefits: for how much I hated to have this thing in the place of my old arm, now I can lead the life I always sought, together with my special one." And he smiled warmly at Darien. Getting all corky embarrassed the heck out of him, sometimes, but it was true that happiness far outweighed embarrassment. He up from the arm and realized he hadn't even been introduced, with a hand held out, "I'm Archimedes by the way."

"My dad moved here for a job at the high school, a few tech ed courses I think." Archimedes answered, "he actually got me on the way here. Up until around a week ago I Iived at an animal rescue. Oddly they hadn't picked a breed or species to specialize in like most rescues."

Darien looked at Archimedes with a raised eyebrow. "Am I right, Archy? Oh, and I'm Darien! Sorry about tripping over you earlier, by the way..." Darien scratched the back of his head as he chuckled nervously. "You're kind of white all over, and my eyesight isn't perfect so I didn't notice you in the snow in the middle of the snowball fight. I hope I didn't hurt you!"

"Its nice to meet you and I'm fine" he said, "thats happened before. White fur and winter isn't aways a safe combo."

"For a rescue, thats pretty much it, their intention at first was to focus on shapherds. Then they added malanois and after that they had a few kittens left to them and eventually it became an everyone-rescue." Archy explained "its just no one ever bothered to name it a shelter."

"No thanks necessary Saphia" Grey said, taking a watch out of his jacket pocket "Well, I've got to go, I've got something planned for New Years, but it still needs some setting up" Grey said, climbing up a tree "So, will I be seeing ya' at the New Years get-together?" Saphia was about to reply when Lance yelled at Grey, and then Grey ran off.
I guess I'll go see what the others are doing. Saphia thought as she walked towards Lance and the rest of the pets.

Grey jumped down from the tree tops and looked at his watch Okay, only have 2 hours to set up the surprise,I've got to hurry! Grey thought, putting the watch in his jacket pocket.
Grey ran towards his house and tried to open the front door "Dang! Locked...she must've left for some reason" Grey said to himself Hmm...the tree! Grey thought, turning to the tree in his front yard, he ran to the tree and grabbed the lowest branch, climbing up to the highest point, Grey carefully walked across the branch and jumped to the attic window Oh no grey thought as he suddenly saw that the attic window was closed.
Grey tried to prtect himself as he smashed through the glass and rolled onto the attic floor. Grey looked over himself "Luck O' the Irish!" he shouted, realising he hadn't received a single cut. Now where's the duct tape? Grey thought rummaging through box upon box.

"Make it 9pm, after we've had dinner. And don't worry for the fireworks: Dad got enough of them to do a late 4th of July. Shamrock winked back at Darien "You two have like, an agreement over his ears?" Charger pointed back to Shamrock. "Okay, that's a bit weird for me... but I guess, whatever." Shamrock looked back at Charger. "Yeah, well, like, when I moved here 6 months ago, I found out Darien over here has a thing for Golden Lab Retrievers with long floppy ears.... and I promised him shortly after that I would let him play with them.... I figured I fit the bill for that pretty well. So yeah, I'll definitely come, if it lets you get your fix you silly dog." Shamrock giggled as Charger shrugged "I'm sure my Dad won't mind me coming along, as long as it's alright with metal boy over here... no offence Valiant."
