So I love the cat in my avatar so much, I decided to make him a character. Here goes nothing.
Japanese bobtail cat
Kin's most striking feature is his short, bobbed tail which is characteristic of his breed. Being a full-bred bobtail, he displays the predominantly white fur with calico markings. Specifically, he has brown ears, large grey patches on either side of his face, a few patches of grey and orange on his sides, and an orange tail. His eyes are a very clear blue.
He is not an exceptionally beautiful cat. Many females have not bothered to look his way due to his tail. His face is triangular and has a bit of a rough look to it.
The collar Kin wears is red, with a fake gold koban
Kin could be called a real magnetic kind of cat. Aside from pet peeves, not a whole lot bothers him. He's a smooth talker, but many pets are wary of him because of it. He is starting to lose the vigor of his youth, becoming more jaded and serious. However, that is not to say that he doesn't know how to have a good time. He holds himself in high regards and others find him cocky.
While not exceptionally prejudiced towards any particular breed of cat, Kin tends to respect other pure-bred cats more than the common domestic cat. He sees it as a status symbol in the same way a human would respect another from a high-class family. His short tail is a source of pride for him.
Kin's collar charm and name are both derived from his similarity to a Maneki Neko. Neither he nor his human family is from Japan, but his family tree has recent history there.
