Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
Hey ya'll! So, just discuss your favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel here (If someone already made one, of if this is not an appropiate subject, please feel free to delete this thread, mods).
Well I guess my favorite webcomic (besides the perfect Housepets!) would be Catena, because of how random and spontaneous it is.

Oh! Other than Housepets?
I guess that would be either Underling or Charcole. Maybe Digger. I do so enjoy mythology.
I don't really read comics.

Funny, I expected Broken Plot Device.
Hehe, anyways, Housepets! is my favorite webcomic, though before that it was Better Days. My favorite graphic novel would have to be...the trade paperback of Kingdom Come.

Sorry, My brain caught on fire when you mentioned kingdom and broken plot device. I'm not the only one who read them!
Edit: That reminds me, I also like The Dark Knight Returns and the 1970's Hawkman Series.

My favorite other webcomics are Penny Arcade, xkcd, Brawl in the Family, Lackadaisy, and Freefall.
The only comic book I read is Sonic the Hedgehog. Well, I guess I read Death Note too. That was pretty neat.

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
Besides Housepets! Uh.
For a while 8-Bit Theater was my favorite and maybe while it was updating, but I have to say I greatly prefer Order of the Stick. I really, really love the serials and especially those two which post full pages (you kind of have to if you are a serial adventure). I don't really know what to say, I can't really brag about them too much except to say just read it! You'll be hooked after 5-6 minutes.
Also on my list of favorites are Penny Arcade, and (moreso early on up through the 400s than now) XKCD.
VG Cats would be fantastic if that updated more than once a century (but it does update!).
Actually no, I think I can say: It's the characters. Housepets has really well developed characters, as does Order of the Stick and 8-Bit theater has very... distinctive characters if nothing else. That's all it really can be about, the art style isn't generally what makes it entertaining (as long as it isn't bad), or fancy music soundtracks or anything else, the very best ones just have to have great writing.

By Graphic Novel I'm going to assume manga so with that in mind I will make my case for Bleach and Soul Eater, just saying.

Lackadaisy. It is definitely the best comic I've ever read. It's so good that it almost seems to hover above the realm of comics.
Oh, and VG cats. Even though there could be a bit more character development I find that I actually care about the characters, even though the comic is so manipulatively funny that I still manage to laugh when Leo gets mutilated or eaten.

Wow...I didn't realize two kinds was that popular! Other webcomics I like to read are The Furry Experience and Altermeta (before it was rebooted). I'd also like to mention Concession, though in concession's case it was more or less forcing you to read it (I really wouldn't recomend reading it if you're the faint of heart...it's pretty twisted).
Surprised no-one's mentioned Sabrina Online.

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
It's not as popular as it appears to be. A lot of fans followed a link here from Two Kinds, hence there are a lot of fans of it in the Housepets! fandom. The-comic-that-shall-not-be-named-but-already-has-been also linked to Housepets!, hence why (tragically) it has a lot of fans here too. VG Cats is an honorable mention, since it was actually Sinder's signature that brought people here.Nitrosparxx wrote:Wow...I didn't realize two kinds was that popular!
Basically, when a comic links here, Housepets! gets a lot of fans that are also fans of that comic. Coincidentally I read Two Kinds but never even knew it linked here.
My full list:
VG Cats
Penny Arcade
xkcd
Irregular Webcomic!
Brawl in the Family
Awkward Zombie
Pokemon-X
Lackadaisy
Freefall
Fuzzy Things
Housepets! (duh)
Two Kinds
Jack
Faux Pas
Sandra and Woo
Daisy Owl
The Dawn Chapel
Slightly Damned
Precocious (in progress)
Completed:
Eight Bit Theater
Ozy and Millie
Inverloch
Better Days (of which I'm not particularly proud)

No, because I went on to name "Jack." And if it was the comic that should not be named, you just went against my intentions and named it anyway. It is, however, a comic that should not be discussed. Nor should we be talking about the other one, even if not by name.

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
Get back on topic and don't discuss how "bad" a comic is, because that kind of discussion can all too easily jump way beyond the pretty-much PG rating of the forums and I'm sure everyone would rather not find out what happens at that point.

I think the main reason why Jack shouldn't be discussed is because it's a M rated webcomic...Yes, I read it.

another good comic feathuring dogs and wolves is off-white. It's quite good, but its update rates are horrible.

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
I've liked too many webcomics to rememeber which I need to state, hehe.
The first I really got into was 'Looking for Group', which would probably be my fav' (asside Housepets!).
As of comic books, I'm the biggest fan of 'The Beano'. I'm not sure you guys who aren't in the UK have ever heard of that though.
Lastly, my fav' graphic novel, 'Full Metal Alchemist'. No question about it!
