Re: current comic
I'd personally like to see what Peanut and Grape think of King. We still have yet to see that.
Re: current comic
I daresay Peanut has already half an idea about that And if Grape was present too, eating dog biscuits...

Btw, even though that was really neat, there's just one true Superdog.

Well, they might be suspicious - but they already accept Bino, Tarot, Tiger, and Joey, so I doubt that they'd find King especially bizarre. They might also find the details of what he said a bit odd, but it's hard to say how clearly they'll recall the details.BlueArmy wrote:I'd personally like to see what Peanut and Grape think of King. I think you're giving Grape too much credit here on the whole "acceptance" thingThoth wrote:Well, they might be suspicious - but they already accept Bino, Tarot, Tiger, and Joey, so I doubt that they'd find King especially bizarre. Now Bino is "out" a few times, who could replace him at the club during his recovery?

Fox and King?

Re: current comic
Presuming Bino is indeed out of action as a leader / organizer for the moment, it could happen.
Most of the other dogs don't seem to be much for long-term planning or organizing meetings unless you count Joey and his RPG meetings - and I doubt the Good Ol Dogs Club would turn to him as an organizer.

Re: current comic
I think Fido would take his place, since Bino and Fido are cofounders of the club.Thoth wrote:Presuming Bino is indeed out of action as a leader / organizer for the moment, it could happen.

Re: current comic
I believe Fox could easily take the place of Bino. Of all in the dogs pack, he surely showed a higher self-confidence and sense of altruism than Bino (OK, *not* that difficult), Plus Fido is surely too engaged in other activites, that is why he was co-founder of the GODC in the very beginning.
Re: current comic
True - but while Fido is far more popular, and more respected, he still tends to leave things like organizing the easter-egg hunt to Bino. Bino just seems to the one with long-term planning abilities. He spent a year getting his bomb to work.Teh Brawler wrote:I think Fido would take his place, since Bino and Fido are cofounders of the club.
Re: current comic
Considering that Fox seems to be quite self-confident and literate he could possibly both eventually remove Bino from his duties and master the administration all by himself.

Re: current comic
Bino is more long term at planning stuff that boosts his standing or helps him at his goals. I think Fido doesn't really get a good idea of how much of a jerk his little brother can be, or really doesn't think it's that bad. But to be fair, he doesn't really seem to get upset when Bino ends up getting beaten silly.Thoth wrote:True - but while Fido is far more popular, and more respected, he still tends to leave things like organizing the easter-egg hunt to Bino. I think if Bino ever really crosses the line, Fido will deal with him.

Re: current comic
If there were any justice in the Housepets! world, Bino would have been usurped a long time ago...
Re: current comic
Perhaps - but I suspect that Fido sees pet discipline as human business.Foxstar wrote:I think if Bino ever really crosses the line, Fido will deal with him
After all, we've had Bino chainsawing trees, the easter egg hunt - even if the bit about "any year with no fatalities" bit is taken as ironic, we still have the dogs burning down a building - helping drive Tiger out of his mind, and now making and using an explosive device.
Fido hasn't objected to assault with a lethal weapon on Bino (a frying pan to the skull can certainly kill), accepts the fighting (per Bino's speech about him), killing and eating (Per our introduction to Spo) of sapient ferals without a problem and - by extension - presumably accepts the risk of being killed in such a fight as a normal part of life.
It seems quite possible that the only way that Bino could "cross the line" as far as Fido is concerned would be by a direct, serious, and unjustified assault on a human.

Past stories
I just re-read some of the previous comics, so now I am back up to speed with the past connections to the current arc. Some of the parts I outright forgot. I also thought I saw some Kangaroos in Dandy & Company doing the exact same thing, or were they? 0_0

Well he said he was going to slide into the next arc nicely so this comic sort of distracts us saying "oooo a Spot comic!" and them BAMB! ferrets and wolves.Alex wrote:Spot comic? Noooo! And I wanted to see what happens next .

Re: current comic
You know, I've been wondering...do you think there might be some, er, "connection" between Pete and the wolves? I'm not sure why I thought that, except that they both came from the woods. So maybe I'm just racist against ferals. Also they appeared...well, maybe not at really similar times, but the arcs were right after one another.
Re: current comic
Well, it's always possible. Still, animals have been moving in with humans for a long time, and there doesn't seem to be much evidence for a connection with Pete yet.
Oh, since you seem to have picked up the "Peanut and the Pussycats" signature banner, I'll mark that one taken.
Personally, I hope that Miles insists that his pups put on - say - nice orange safety vests before letting them run around Babylon Gardens freely. In their own yard is one thing, and he's already enormously increased the odds of their having long and happy lives by moving into human civilization (as per Fox's little speech to Fatty). Still, judging by the new-to-the-city reaction to Miles, it would probably be a good idea to make sure that they're clearly tagged as "part of civilization" and not "dangerous stray ferals who have wandered out of the woods" before they go exploring and meeting new friends.

Re: current comic
I'm sure Housepets! society has some kind law about calling animal patrol as opposed to taking the law intro your own hands when you're not sure about an animal you see. And after all, they threw a pretty big housewarming party.
Re: current comic
True - but they followed Peanuts advice to hide their relatives.
And there are laws against shooting wild animals in the streets in the real world too, but that doesn't stop it.
Even in Housepets, I woudn't count Murphy out if it might make a good story - plus it would show Miles making another thoughtful effort to fit in, which is more or less what they seem to want.
