well, I mean, first it's like "I'm being cheesy and not subtle but at least i'm using my charm and it's a mildly romantic situation and it's just sorta sweet albeit with a little creep undertone." but with him it's like "MMMM BBY YOUR LIPS LOOK DELISHUSH BLUHBLUHBLUH"Sleet wrote:It's kind of a creeper song already, but yeah, kinda!

Re: Music.
A song I've not heard since forever, and finally know the name of. (link). Not many of Cash's songs really make me love them (mainly just 'hurt'), though the rhythm in 'Ghost Riders in the Sky' is really catchy, and awesome. For some random reason, it reminds me of 'Devil went to Georgia' as well.
And, what began as me wanting to share a single song turned into a nostalgia trip.

I was actually listening to that a lot one day because it came on Pandora and I kind of squee'd and overplayed it for a few hours. Such a good song.44R0NM10 wrote: For some random reason, it reminds me of 'Devil went to Georgia' as well.

Re: Music.
actually, that's an old cowboy song that Cash covered. An instrumental version of it was featured in the movie Ghost Rider (of course) which released the same year that my middle school band was playing the song.44R0NM10 wrote:A song I've not heard since forever, and finally know the name of. I have 3 versions of it on my iPod: the instrumental, the Cash version, and a version from blues Brothers 2000.
I don't know about in Europe, but many Europeans who come to America love it, including Craig Ferguson.Sleet wrote:Well I always thought country was very unpopular in Europe. I could be wrong?

Re: Music.
I guess there's some appeal to be had from a traditional regional style of music that isn't old. Most styles very focused on one country are very traditional; country is about a century old and is still popular today.
Wikipedia says it's popular in Australia, Canada and Brazil, though. Interesting.
