Anime Movies
I want to have an anime movie part with me and my friends.
So I thought this is a good opportunity to share movies.
First of there Summer Wars
5cm per second Which is too sad to watch ina group personally
The Girl Who Leapt through time
Animal Crossing Movie
One stormy night
I think we can refrain from mentioning studio ghibli films considering everyone knows them.

Re: Anime Movies
You might like to give Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland a try. It has a very Wizard of Oz feel to it, and was the first anime movie I ever saw.

well to be fair, most of us are jaded from seeing crime solving in the media. the solutions seem to be fairly predictable.

Re: Anime Movies
I don't think I've ever seen a Miyazaki film except when I was too young to appreciate them. I believe I've seen Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbor Totoro way back when I was a kit, but I definitely need to rewatch them.
Also, Summer Wars looks like something I'd really like. I need to branch out more.

Re: Anime Movies
I was hoping to see Summer Wars some time. Either way, I managed to watch 'The Girl who Leapt Through Time' today with friends. Wasn't a bad movie, though it was quite confusing at times, hehe...

I knew that! One's the studio, and one's the main guy behind it.

And then there are those like me who can't remember the names behind the great anime films we know. Just the title...
I have a horrible memory.

Re: Anime Movies
I love this thread for the explicit cap put on discussion of Miyazaki films.
But yeah, just today I saw Paprika, directed by Satoshi Kon. It was pretty awesome, though it got a bit weird and Japanese-y towards the end.
Also, many points to exranio for having seen 5cm Per Second. That movie is just...amazing. Makoto Shinkai is also my favourite anime film director. Basically because of that film, though his other works are good too.

Rockman.EXE: Hikari to Yami no Programmu
This will probably help you guys think of it if I say 'Megaman NT Warrior: Program of Light and Darkness'. BUT! I prefer to call it by its original name, so we'll just say 'Rockman.EXE: Program of Light and Darkness'. In any case, for those of you who are familiar with the Batte Network series on the Game Boy Advance hand held, this movie was made along the lines of many of the games' mechanics, as well as new things that were exclusive to its own animated series altogether. The concept was pretty basic, but very interesting at the same time. I apologize if I don't go into too much detail. I prefer to leave it to you guys to go search for it, watch it, then comment on it yourselves. In other words, I don't like spoiling things for other people! XP
However, if there are some of you that know of this movie already, feel free to comment away!

Re: Anime Movies
I've never really played any of the meman games. I did see reviews and watched some of the shows.
Now I'm obviously biased but I don't respect Megaman battle network as mech as all the others.
I do approve of the name thought. Rockman.EXE. blah blah. Just revering to him by a program name is awesome.
