And the big Kitsune may be on to what King/Joel's real problem is: he can't figure out what the rules are and that he needs to play by them.

Time to keep a look out for pets with red eyes, that's the only sure way to find out who (if anyone) is the GM's avatar.
I'll also mention that King was adorable in the 7th panel.

I guess the whole "game" thing is why Pete chose a chess piece to rename Joel.

This is so unexpected, yet so right.

As for King, I have a feeling that Tarot won't be able to turn him back, at least not yet. He'll probably have to decide whether he wants to go back or not.

And Pete is finally going to get some comeupance for everything he's put King through.
