Everything's resolved. Everything came a bit fast and is still a bit confusing, but it's resolved. or is it
And who wouldn't be up for a saucy Pridelands RPG session?

Max, always the voice of reason and the voice of the easily distracted. But in all seriousness though, Pridelands RPG tell me more.
The fact that the saucy joke is still making it's rounds warms my heart. Still the best joke ever.

Romantic Pridelands works both ways.
They already left at the end of The Maxwell Thing arc. Also, if they were going to play at one of their houses, Grape wouldn't have brought that to the spa.MrBlueSky7 wrote:Guess we now know which couples are leaving the Hot Springs first...

It's not over yet, though. Which means, unless the arc is going to end just in the next page or so, the actual weird bit is yet to come.HellishK9 wrote:Everything's resolved. Everything came a bit fast and is still a bit confusing, but it's resolved.

Something about this has always bothered me. Res should have gotten a good bit of cash from the movie rights from his book(s) but he still can't afford a plane ticket.Champion Wallace wrote:Romantic Pridelands works both ways.

I think the Polyamorous relationship between the four of them is meant to be the weird ending here. I mean there could be one last twist or the arc could go on another week but I don't think either is likely. I mean it is possible though, what that twist would be at this point (outside of my dream possibility that I brought up the last page, which I think is unlikely mind you) I have no idea.leinglo wrote:Saturn381 wrote:Well Rick did say this was going to end weird.It's not over yet, though. Actually, they are still there. Otherwise, why else would there be a half naked Mungo walking by in the background a few panels ago?Champion Wallace wrote:They already left at the end of The Maxwell Thing arc. I thought it was a commentary on the price of airplane flight by saying even if you write a fantastic book series that gets movie adaptions, you still won't be able to afford a seat. If you want to start a discussion about that strip, there is a thread for that.fenrirblack wrote:Something about this has always bothered me. It’s all OK when it’s just fantasy,
as then it’s just all in the mind
and those who think this is a play
to bring up Res are being unkind.
Everyone has a new life on paper,
leaving the real world on its’ own;
the fact they can accept others in it
show just how some cats have grown.
Saying RPG without fear of geeks
shows just how much Grape rocks;
but it does leave one question there -
where was she keeping that box?
as then it’s just all in the mind
and those who think this is a play
to bring up Res are being unkind.

Fox: You know, Mungo. It just occurred to me.
Mungo: Yeah, Fox?
Fox: We're still in the bathhouse.
Mungo: What do you mean?
Fox: Well, it feels like we've been here for like, four months.
Mungo: But we've only been here for a few hours!
Fox: I know, right?!

Well, the arc is over yet, but it looks like it’s wrapping up. It’s kind of weird but Rick did say the ending was going to be strange, so there you go. They’ve all worked on their relationships, and while they may not have been totally solved everyone seems okay. It’s kind of cool that Grape and Max were planning an RPG session, and hey, saucy Pridelands certainly sounds fun.

It isn't entirely clear how much of the world outside Babylon Gardens mirrors Babylon Gardens in terms of how "humanized" other pets are and how people interact with them. At times, BG seems to be its own little island; other times, people outside BG still interact with their pets as walking, talking, hyper-sentients.

The only 3rd party that Peanut has any romantic interest in is Grape, meaning that Max is saying that Taroh also has a romantic interest in Grape.

I think what Max means it that it bothers him that Tarot and Peanut rekindle their relationship, because of the relationship between Grape and Peanut.Toboe wrote:Max talked about a relationship based on a mutual romantic interest in a 3rd party.SeanWolf wrote:I...don't think that was ever implied.Yamitora1 wrote:wait, so tarot is bisexually attracted to grape?

And King, Fox and the rest were on A plane when they went to Australia. Even Bruce and Rossevelt were there. Even if they had to return via cargo they originally had plane tickets.

What about yes, Max? And yeah, remember? In past you started a relationship with Grape based on your mutual interest about those Pridelands books, didn't you? From them you can really start a serious relationship, that's long proved. Uhm, curious expansion of the Pridelands RPG. Let's play it.

Sure, they're walking-talking sapient beings who can get sent to the pound if they're not on leash, or randomly relocated by animal control. Also, PETA exists in the BG universe, granted everyone in BG seems to treat them with the scorn they deserve, but the fact that they are still out there is troubling.Argent wrote:Sure, they're walking-talking sapient beings who can get sent to the pound if they're not on leash, or randomly relocated by animal control. That's honestly poor business strategy if that's true. I mean if you have the money, billions or not, you should be able to buy something as simple as a plane ticket no matter who or what you are. To be fair, most of the pets don’t work, so them not having money for the plane tickets is also nearly universal as well. I mean let me remind you, Max had to use a quarter to try and bribe someone to sell him catnipfenrirblack wrote:That's honestly poor business strategy if that's true. The problem with expecting society to be logical in stories is that you have a million easy examples of illogic in our own societies with which to compare.
Edit: Misremembered a thing
