Interesting Screen Names
Everyone on this forum has an interesting screen name. How did you arrive at the decision on your screen name, and what does it mean or what is its significance?

Re: Interesting Screen Names
I guess I'll start this up.
Well my screen name is based on what my last name would have been if it weren't for immigration "Americanizing" my great grandfather's first and last name after he immigrated from Ukraine. Though apparently the Sarnoff name is dead due to WWII, so I guess I try to keep it alive in some ways and take pride in it since it should be my last name.(Also immigration didn't seem to have any imagination back then due to my real last name being so freakin' generic.)

Re: Interesting Screen Names
Mine is Grey Wolverine because my fursona is a wolverine named Grey. Simple, isn't it? But the name Grey has meaning to me of moral ambiguity and the likes, I don't feel like going over it.

Flint is from the first web-comic I've ever read, and became my role-model. He is a Squirrel (Flying Squirrel Rather).

I chose "Sleet" because real-word names are hard to Google. I also liked the simplicity. And I love winter!

Kurowolfe's the screen name I use for furry-related websites, adapted from the name that I have been using for 8 years now, Kurohacker. And I like wolves!

Re: Interesting Screen Names
Miles Kingford was a character for one of the stories I would write about back in 2010. The character wasn't really representative of me, and was not a main character, but I thought it would do until I could come up with something else later (what can I say, I wanted to join the forums). Of course, after I registered, I realised you can not change the name of your profile, and I am now stuck with it forever. But I could have chosen a worse name, I guess.

I could tell you all how I chose my name, but that would kind of give away my real name. (Like, name on my drivers licence real.)
I'm pretty sure that Rick can change it if you ask him. I remember someone saying that somewhere.MilesKingford wrote: I realised you can not change the name of your profile,

I figured it'd be cool to use my actual name on a website instead of a screen name.

Shiloh, the one in the middle, is eight years old. The brown dog on the far right is Bubba, and the black dog on the right is Allaura. They are Shiloh's puppies, and they were born on October 31st, 2008. So they will be four this year. The brown dog in the middle of Shiloh and Allaura is Jake, and he was adopted into our family so I can't tell you exactly how old he is. He's approximately... Five years old?

I guess since I got this started I might as well.
I love zombie movies. And in one film, called "Zombi 3", there is a DJ called Blue Heart and his station is called Radio Blue Heart. In the film he plays music and then when the disaster occurs he broadcasts emergency information. I like music and radio, and Radio Blue Heart is play on my initials.

Re: Interesting Screen Names
Mine is based on a character I made back when I was 15 in an MMORPG. Also the first letter of both the first name and last name (Viore) is the opposite of my real name. I also did it with my middle name, but that never gets used. So my real initials are AMF and Zukio's are ZNV.

Re: Interesting Screen Names
My screen name comes from my favorite pastime, action shooting*. It's about going through a course and engaging multiple targets while being as fast, accurate, and efficient as possible. The community informally refers to these competitions as "gun racing," and I thought "GunRacer" sounded pretty cool.

Re: Interesting Screen Names
I wanted everyone to know on the internet back when i was 12 that i was a serious gamer. considering how my cousin told me when i was first making my online account for yahoo, i figured since it was my first taste of experience on what my nick would be, i decided it was going to be GameCobra. I was initially going to call myself either GameDragon or GameCheetah. The Dragons are hugely known for being prideful of their strength, and i prided myself of videogames, but the names felt too obvious. I then decided to try GameCobra since it resembled my fast reflexes and fanboyism of wrestling back then =)

Re: Interesting Screen Names
I like swords. I also like the number 13. I chose this name when my brother commented that listening to me talk, it sounded like I either had 3 minds or I was some kind of hive-mind. I was drawing swords. (I really like swords.) But since I don't care for the number 3, I chose 13.
Re: Interesting Screen Names
I needed a different screen name to go by on "furry" sites, so I named myself after a baby... since I'm thinking about it now I wonder what was going through my head when I chose the name.

Traditionally they have always been obscure figures. They get the girls that the lead singer and lead guitarist don't want. I thought that it might have been a Misfits reference.

Leafolawl.
I'll be totally honest. I'm a weirdo.
LEAFeon.

The word "of" has an accent form of "o'."
LAWL.
I was a total fan of Pokemon, and my favorite pokemon is Leafeon. As time went on, I wasn't so much of a fan of Pokemon anymore, but I still liked the element of earth. Leaves' roots are in the ground, and so I found it as appropriate that they would belong to the element of earth as it is that they would belong to the element of air, where they blow in the wind.
Lawl, is an accepted form of saying "lol," for some reason or another. I've never stopped liking to laugh, which is why I'm a chaotic goofball of a being.
Hence, the continual use of Leafolawl. I might never stop using the username. |3

Re: Interesting Screen Names
I was prompted to make a pen name about two years ago, and I honestly mentally stumbled about for two days before settling on this. The original purpose of the name was for orchestration purposes at Pokémon Reorchestrated (go check that awesome music out!), and it was to be paired with my favorite Pokémon, which was and still is Quilava! I ended up musing on how amazing fire type Pokémon are, and thought "huh... one of my favorite Fire Emblem characters is a fire elementalist who sides with the laguz", and being a wolf furry/therian, that was an attractive trait! So, the name Tormod stuck around, and now I'm Tormod the fire elementalist wolf!

There was a Tormod in Fire Emblem? That would explain why the name is familiar! (Other than Tormod's Crypt from Magic: the Gathering).

Re: Interesting Screen Names
Yes! Tormod is a fire elementalist, siding with a shapeshifting race of beings called the laguz. He exists in the world of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn.
