I don't think mixing hyper wolf cubs with human kids is a great idea...

*gasp*
Miles teaching and the cubs in school. I don’t know if I can handle this. It’s the best idea ever!
Is this still a Jack story or it going to be all the wolves?
Also what kind of school are they going to that gives out acceptance letters? They’re like what ten or eleven? Twelve? Are they too good for public school?
Private schools would make sense considering but my point still stands.
Real quick which cub is which? I can’t tell them apart without the eye color.

I don't get the reference because I'm not a fan of Pink Floyd.

Apparently not so obvious

Does this mean they'd have to wear clothes? Maybe they can pull a leaf from A&H Club's book and go half-way.

Learning things is the hardest trick;
especially obedience to your tutor,
the person who can make you feel real thick
if they’re almost as smart as a computer.
Being taught things you don’t wanna learn
about people and places you don’t know.
Taught about things that aren’t your concern
and seeing things that are boring and slow.
There’s everything to learn right here
and it’s truly vital to join in the fight;
to battle the forces of the ignorance sphere
and blast that evil foe out of your sight.
To Miles, they’re part of his noble plan
even though they want to be left at home.
Although I agree, I need to say to the man…

This is honestly a perfectly normal reaction to going to school for most kids.

"We don't need no education" a line from Another Brick in the Wall. there wasn't a reference in the comic, the joke is that the line should be the titleChar89Charizard wrote:I don't get the reference because I'm not a fan of Pink Floyd.
I'd ask how the cubs got into school if they didn't take SATs or ACTs, but I'm guessing that college has recently built a building with Milton in it's name

I'm curious what Rockstar Hawk is doing looking through the mail in our day and age.

It saddens me that people haven't heard Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)
I'm sure the cold hand of science will be able to overcome his magical powers

Well, a select few of us, i.e. me, live in a musical bubble. Heard that song, but not enough to make the connection. And since I never found it more than "okay," never sought it out on my own time.
Also the best line in Recess: School's Out.

Well, I guess that's one way to live life... At least one of the cubs should follow in Uncle Other Daryl's paw prints ;03 (In MY opinion, at least....)
...and FTR, I got the reference right away. (Does that mean I'm old?)

Miles doesn't realise his cups already act like real humans. When he begins to teach a class himself he will realise it
Re: 2018/06/25 - Obvious Pink Floyd Reference
DVS is the tallest, Rockstar Hawk is the shortest, and North Star is in the middle.fenrirblack wrote:Real quick which cub is which? I can’t tell them apart without the eye color.
DVS has a solid color face, Rockstar Hawk has a two-tone face with an extra band, and North Star just has a tone-tone face.
DVS's back fur color comes in over the chest more than "standard", Rockstar Hawk's just comes over the shoulders and sides of the thighs leaving the belly fur color on the arms and legs, and North Star's is very "standard".
DVS has the lightest back fur color, Rockstar has high contrast between his back and belly fur colors, and North Star has the darkest fur color for back and belly fur.
Thus:
First panel: Rockstar Hawk
Second panel: North Star, DVS (left to right)
Third panel: Rockstar Hawk, North Star, DVS (left to right)

Honestly, I'm kind dubious about the wolf cubs getting super stacked like this. I get that they're getting older but... I mean... yikes. They look like they've been inflated by a bike pump.

So when do we get our "back in my day" Panel? :3
I'm also amused that Miles and Lucrecia are treating school like it's the best thing ever. Who has been telling them that? :3

Considering it doesn't sound like Itsuki doesn't get much discrimination for his species over in university, I'm curious as to how the wolves with fare.
What do you get when you cram a shapeshifter, a dog-dragon, two wolves, a human, a robot, a bear, and a fox into one vessel? (They/Them pronouns)
Re: 2018/06/25 - Obvious Pink Floyd Reference
Well, Itzuki's an exchange student so he probably arrived with a fat subsidy behind him ... now that's where the ferrets could swing the deal. And the pack would probably make great sports recruits!

Ooh, what should I like more, that they were literate enough to identify the mail as something unwanted,
or that they actually planned for the future (to be eating junk food and playing video games)?
Either way, awesome strip! XD

Re: 2018/06/25 - Obvious Pink Floyd Reference
Is the art style for the wolves similar to Ricks standard anthro style or is it in the normal style for the comic? All of them being buff is hard for me to tell.
Re: 2018/06/25 - Obvious Pink Floyd Reference
Rick's been buffin' a number of his gang over the last couple of years (Fox...Mungo...some would say even Daisy and others).
Re: 2018/06/25 - Obvious Pink Floyd Reference
Yeah... Honestly, though, the Fox one is the only one that makes sense since he was working out like crazy (and apparently has the genetics for it, the lucky jerk).NHWestoN wrote:Rick's been buffin' a number of his gang over the last couple of years (Fox...Mungo...some would say even Daisy and others).
I know I already said it, but I'm really not buying the cubs being this huge. This is like... Scott Steiner levels of muscle mass. It's a little overblown.
Re: 2018/06/25 - Obvious Pink Floyd Reference
Now that I think of buff cubs:
The cubs are probably going to end up bigger than Miles because they're growing up on better, more regular food plus vitamins.

Unless "vitamins" is a euphemism, I think there's a bit more than that going on. XDArgent wrote:Now that I think of buff cubs:

This a good moment to say I am flabbergasted by how utterly ripped these cubs have become in only a few years.
More so than usual indeed!

Eheheh, the wolves don't need no education (and no thought control, too ). But, come on, school can be a good thing also for you to learn new things of life, also if more related to humans, actually. Aww, poor Miles and Lucretia, probably they got it from a certain uncle with one only arm... It's fine to play games, without exaggerate, but junk food will make you look like your fat uncle Daryl.

Jack is Elaine's husband and Lucretia's Mother is also Elaine's mother so that makes Jack Miles' Cubs' uncle by marriage not by genetics (and from Lucretia's side of the family).Cesco wrote:...Aww, poor Miles and Lucretia, probably they got it from a certain uncle with one only arm...
