yeah Ze, one letter. you have to pick which one U want.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

i don't know how long ago the rules were amended to one letter per post, just that it was before i joined as i ran afoul of that one myself early on.

Since we are apparently only allowed to do one letter, go with the first letter I put.

i think people just generally decided that guessing one at a time was smart, cause it means fewer letters guessed before you have a better idea of what you're guessing. makes it less likely you'll lose on the first round

Re: Housepets Hangman: The Buzz Pets Game
Looking back through the topic, the first time I saw one letter per post becoming a hard and fast rule was about a quarter down page 13 by Hlaoroo. The initial post used two letters in the example and wasn't updated with the new rule. As for working your guess into a sentence, that just kinda happened recently-ish where someone did it and people bandwagoned. As for the current challenge, I press M.

You missed Saturn's. I don't see a rule where you have to bold the letter, but it does make it easier.Saturn381 wrote:I press O.

Dark bold letters isn't a rule, it's just a little twist for fun. Pat and Vanna wouldn't care...

WestoN, I don't think you are allowed to make multiple posts with different letters. It might be allowed since I don't see a rule about it on the first page, but if it is, you shouldn't make enough posts to possibly end the game very quickly.
I have ideas and I occasionally put them down.
Re: Housepets Hangman: The Buzz Pets Game
I assume, Z, but I don't know that the only rule is you must wait for someone else to post before making another response (no two in a row). I'll back down if you think I'm violating the spirit of the game....

Re: Housepets Hangman: The Buzz Pets Game
no we've gotten away with the seperate posts thing plenty of times, but it's usually only used when you want to shock the pet (say, if we got Bean-Oh or Tigger) cause it almost always goes wrong.

well if he wanted to shock max he's severely out of luck. none of his guesses are wrong. (not gonna say where they go, leave that for the ones running the game)Buster wrote:no we've gotten away with the seperate posts thing plenty of times, but it's usually only used when you want to shock the pet (say, if we got Bean-Oh or Tigger) cause it almost always goes wrong.

Here you have your extra limb. ^^

It IS allowed to make multiple posts in one round. It's a balance between getting more letters and getting more limbs. ^^Zesortinge wrote:WestoN, I don't think you are allowed to make multiple posts with different letters. Yeah, you need to follow the forum rules about double posting. ^^NHWestoN wrote:I assume, Z, but I don't know that the only rule is you must wait for someone else to post before making another response (no two in a row). I'll back down if you think I'm violating the spirit of the game....

Yeah, I struggle to think of a good, challenging phrase for this thread whenever I get to do it. Most of the hard english words out there have already been done, I think.

Does the person who guessed the last letter needed get it, or does it go to the person who said the phrase after the last letter needed was said?

it's whoever said the last letter or whoever guesses the phrase before the last letter is filled. both were you in this case.

Maybe not explicitly, but you were the first to say it. And you did guess the last letter. So you're officially the winner of this round.
You don't have to come up with a phrase if you don't want to though. It's up to you.
