You've caught me. I'm really a magical Spirit-Wolf, and ctcmjh is my avatar. I'm playing with my friends, the Purple Dragon, the Leviathan, and a Chimera. The Chimera tries to cheat, he says, "We have three heads, so we get three avatars!" but he could only have one. We're playing 595th edition, because it has better rules on economics, but there are a few flaws in the combat system, so the DM brought some rules from 294th edition in. We homebrewed some stuff too.

We talked about this yesterday CT! That one is so broken, you told me we were playing the 414th edition, with a few tweaks here and there, and NO Tripple-avatars, seriously!

No, I said 695th edition is messed up, not 596th edition. That one is messed up, it's not even fair. Me and Purple Dragon were thinking of playing a homebrew game, but a lot of work goes into making an entirely new plane of existence for a game, so we may not.

On topic, similarities between Grape and Joel. Why do these two make such good Avatars...and which elements can they bend? *ba-dum pish*

out of this arc, I think the following.

1) Pete keeps beeing cooler, though draggie is awesome
2) Things keep moving toward P+G
3) King is gonna have a heckuva headache in the morning
4) I must fit all of this in my fanfic and my brains are trying to escape my skull (IT'S SO PAINFUL!)
5) I like Pizza

Bravissimo so far, Rick-Sama!

Valerio right now the only thing I'm getting out of this strip (and this strip specifically) is that I really don't know if Tarot and the Spirit Dragon are the same person or not. (I think they are separate people(also if they are does the real Tarot actually have feelings for Peanut or not)but I really don't know for sure and this is most likely because it is like 3am here and I need to go to bed)

I really liked this comic, i seem to be able to make sens of some stuff now.. if that makes any sense.

@IceKitsune
It's her avatar, i think its like he movie Avatar, they wear still the same person, just a different body.
and she almost just said "I still love him, but went to "tarot still loves him""
"Why would you ever want to connect the dots?"

I guess that makes sense but that doesn't explain Grape or King being Pete's Avatar unless they all play them differently like The Spirit Dragon creates form to take on earth (a.k.a Tarot), and Pete plays his Avatar indirectly like how he's doing with King and wanted to do with Grape.

He might have thought that they would have a good personality match and she would be easier to manipulate or really it could be any reason.

Ok to get on to something else if the GM is someone we know I think I have narrowed it down to 3 possible people. I believe that The Great Kitsune is most likely either 1. Sasha 2. Maxwell or 3. Sabrina

Sasha and Maxwell? Come on now, I honestly don't think either of them can be the great kitsune, who, by the way, looks like Ninetails. Apparently it's a character who isn't in love with anyone, because, as you can see, they're laughing at the dragon for being in love.

I have no speculations....

I really doubt that it will be all a dream. King might wake up and think it was a dream but it wouldn't actual be just a dream.
well i was just thinking of something along those lines, that way everything could go back to normal
Not to put your idea down, but no one likes the "it was all a dream" thing. If the story has heavy hints toward it being a dream, then fine, but you can't just say "Oops that never happened" and call it a dream, cos the fact that you tried to do it is still evident, and now any sort of drama that the arc could have fostered is lost. Not to bring up TF2, but it would be like if Valve gave out all the Golden Wrenches, and then said "Oops, the community is upset, time to take them all away now."

I for one like the direction the arc is going. Maybe Rick should have built up to this a bit better, but I mean, he did foreshadow a lot of this, and had PLANNED all of this way back to Grape's dream about Pete. You can't just expect him to cut his plans and do something else NOW. It's still slice of life, it's just a slice of a somewhat extra dimensional life sometimes.

And while I'd love to see more Peanut and Grape, I'd also like to see more of the other House Pets characters. There's something like 4 or 5 groups of pets that could have entire arcs for themselves, and who need entire arcs for themselves, but we can't get them all at once, so we just need to be patient and enjoy the arc's we're given. :B

EDIT: Also, looks like Tarot does love Peanut!

I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing though.

I'm going to go with the fanboyism hunch also and say that the nine-tails is also Max as well. He might enjoy playing with Max for the sake of amusement and doesn't go near Pete or the Dragon.

If he is Max's player in this sense, i find it awesome, intriguing and worrysome. Awesome and intriguing since it sorta makes Max like a cat with fox-like traits.
It's worrysome because i can also picture him in this sense dropping Grape like a hat at some point if Pete or the Dragon catch him doing this. I could be wrong though. He might instead keep doing what he's doing, similar to how the Dragon does the same thing with Tarot. <3

Maybe the Great Kitsune is, yaknow, the Great Kitsune. It looks like he (she?) is the GM. Most of the time they don't get characters.

EDIT: Can anyone help me out with the correct pronunciation of "kitsune?" I know better than to say "kit-soon," but I'm not sure what exactly is correct.

Ahhhh, I finally get it!

Pete wanted Grape as his avatar (typically furry, a male playing a female), but Spirit Dragon prevented it through Tarot! So he became King instead.

That also explains why King so easily said his name when he was first named.

The gods aren't just geeks, they're furry geeks!

Please tell me that People on this forum know that Kitsunes are a big part of Japanese myths and were not made up for Anime I mean after reading the comment thread I get the feeling there are a lot of people who think this. (not specifically you Liam just a lot of other people seem to think this)
