You know, Tarot and the Spirit Dragon could be separate people, it's just that the Dragon chose Tarot as her "voice" or avatar or connection or somesuch. I don't think that Tarot is the Dragon...or, the Spirit Dragon could be exactly that: Tarot's inner soul or something, brought to a physical representation.

I think that Tarot, no matter what though, probably considers herself a Pomeranian first and foremost.

At this point I think either side is possible because neither side has that much evidence anyway. The only way we'll know is when Wednesdays update comes. But for right now I'm going with she is the Dragon.

I like Pete's appearance in the second panel. He looks younger than usual. (I tend to like Pete's griffin appearance anyway [note avatar].)

On the comic in general: I think we all saw this coming. *laughs hysterically*

What.

I think my mind has been blown. I also think that if I'm interpreting the subtext correctly, this is quite possibly the strangest love dodecahedron I've ever seen. A magical griffin is dating a spiritual dragon who is channeled by a dog who is dating another dog who has a mildly reciprocated crush on a cat who is dating another cat... Or perhaps he called her "baby" as in the insult, not the term of endearment.

Bwua ha ha! Another awesome twist. Unexpected, funny, and totally fitting.

I guess the whole "game" thing is why Pete chose a chess piece to rename Joel.

I believe this is the point where King wakes up at the party,
wasted from all the orange sodas he drank.

Clearly Rick is a D&D player obviously (or at least likes D&D a lot) Also I bet Joey and his friends would love to play this game

This is some crazy #%&@. Now at this point, if I was in King's possition and he is a "pawn" in this game of D&D/chess, I would finding a way to kill Pete, or I would take the easy way out.

As an insult to someone who is acting like a child...it's quite obvious. Also this is why I love this comic. I knew something like this was coming, we all did, but I would never of guessed that they were deciding the fate of all of reality with a D&D rip off...or is D&D the rip off? Anyways, I think this proves that Rick does an awesome job and we don't have to worry bout no Cerebreus Syndrome, a lack of comedy, or anything of that kind.

The only player characters in the game are Tarot and Pete the rest are not being played with its just that Pete and The Spirit Dragon are basically pretending so neither King or anyone else are "Pawns" in the game as I understand it the rest of everyone are basically NPCs with Free Will which has already been established to exist. (I hope I explained that right)

Edit: Fixed it up a bit

They're manipulating others, but they can only go so far before breaking the rules, hence why Pete can't just control Joel and make him do what he wants. But there is still one single question that has to be answered, what class and levels are Pete and Tarot?

Edit: Everyone else but Tarot and Pete are NPCs!
