Will they revoke his Good 'ol Dog membership? Also Bido's head would swell so much.... it'd have its own orbit.

XD This

And I really don't think it's as bad as everyone's making it out to be. Tarot's delivery seemed completely straight, as if it was completely obvious that King 'is' a human. She didn't seem like she was insulting him, blackmailing him or taunting him, or anything like that. And it doesn't look like she's going to be telling any other dogs any time soon.

It's even possible, really, that Pete cannot turn people into dogs, only make people think they're seeing a dog (And make Joel think he is a dog). I don't think that's the case, but if it were it probably wouldn't work on Tarot, hence her blunt statement. She might just see a human hitting on her.

Eh if were all an optical allusion it would shatter the moment he touches someone and they feel skin and not fur. I think he IS actually a dog, but Tarot probably forsaw Pete turning Joel into a dog, or is just able to sense magic.

I think its more likely she can she though the magic or saw (or somehow knows in another way) that Joel was turned into King. I don't think its some kind of illusion.

Oh, I think so to. In fact, I'd be very disappointed if my above hypothesis was correct. It was just a possibility. With Housepets! you need to have as many predictions as physically possible if you hope to remain on the right track XD

Somehow I can't see a merely illusionized Joel fit into a pet carrier.

Easy there comrade. What we see there is a curve ball thrown at King (and every big one at that). Yeah while King may go back to being paranoid, I have no reason to think that King may do something stupid. Or I could be wrong....

My prediction

1. Fox walks up behind him with him still in the SHOCKED position and asks if he heard her right.
2. King mumbles something then leaves.
3. Daisy/Sasha do something off screen to get a sarcastic remark from fox.

Yeah I would assume she did. Grape mentioned she talked to him in Turnabout is fair play

Edit: and interestingly whatever she said seemingly did not weaken his crush on Grape

'crush' is such an inadequate word
Peanut is most definitely in LOVE with Grape. He's only too scared to go all the way and KISS her as he should have done time ago.

I'd just like to say, I've read this comic about 8 or more times today, and it still makes me smile. I mean, I can go back and enjoy the old Housepets! comics, and laugh out loud at jokes I've read before in it, but it's not often I can read the same comic so many times in the same day and still have it seem so good. Kudos Rick. Excellent strip!

You know, just for the sake of ridiculousness, I imagined several voices for King for this strip, such as:

Captain Jack Sparrow (Darn you Kyderra)
A Scotsman
Sean Connery (James Bond version)
Russian
Batman (Christian Bale version)
Mr. T

Come on now, every line he says is pretty much a pick-up line for Adrian.

I'm kind of curious at this point as to what the connection between Tarot and Pete is. Perhaps Pete is one of "the spirits."

Then why would Tarot be afraid of him? Its possible that he used to be one and then was like exiled from the group and imprisoned in the woods. I think the only connection between the two is that Tarot works for the spirits and Pete opposes them (or at least the Spirits oppose Pete for all we know Pete knows nothing of the spirits.)
