Rikki jumped down into the cabin. She sat at the feet of Mitch's bed. "Man, believe me when I say that I saw a ton of cases like yours. But, seriously, do you realize you just shot an arrow? You can't just live on PTSD, especially not when you could seriously hurt someone with that crossbow. Would you just claim you were stressed if you wounded one of us right there?" she sighed. "What can we do to help you feel better?"

"Crossbow bolt," Mitch said, "Think Rikki. Two feral pets come out of no where, attack us out of the blue, get picked up by animal control, then, they somehow escape animal control, beg for another chance, and everyone's nonchalant about it. I'm a feral Rikki. The first thing I thought of when they came back was what if they were Orginization agents? Bad ones, I'll admit, but still, they're there now, listening in and being part of us. And everyone's okay with that? Forgive me if I seem a little off, but after what happened all today was it not right for me to be careful? Sure I'd of felt bad, but, I didn't even notice Eris sneak off. So, what was I to think? I was just trying to protect people. As far as feeling better? I think I just need to rest right now."

ooc: just assumed.
bishop approachesd and found Rikki tumbling his way in, looking at him awkwardly,"You know there's a door right?" he merely turned it into a rhetorical question as he listens to Rikki and Mitch converse. When Mitch continues, he sits at the end of the bed and looks over," Mitch, ive known you only ten minutes so far and I can tell that you're not a bad guy, you mean well. You just go about it the wrong way. Sometimes... people deserve a second chance."

"Oh that again," Mitch said, with a touch of irritation, still under the covers, "Look, I'm all for giving people a second chance. And I'm sure they're good people too. But I'm also SURE that tossing an explosive after all that happened around a group of high strung people with high tensions is NOT a good idea! ESPECIALLY if people are trying to calm down! Maybe when I've had some rest I'll be a bit more sociable. Good night!"

Mitch then took a sleeper bolt out of his one of his pouches. He sighed at his lack of control, and then stuck it softly in his palm and was out quick.

Rikki shook her head and walked out.
she wanted to tell Mitch he was right, but that he was getting it all wrong, that he was offending both her and Val and Bel, believing they would not keep an eye or worse underestimate the new guys...
But how to tell him without making him further withdraw in himself. *sigh* this was going to so take a *long* time to resolve...

Rikki shrugged. "He decided we are stupid for trusting these new guys, says he'd do it all again then he took a pawful of sleeping pills and went down. Hope he'll be more reasonable, tomorrow... The usual, I guess." She looked at Valiant nad felt a surge of rage toward the red panda.
Ok, so Val hadn't gone through the same experiences, but they had fought against people far more dangerous than this...Organization. Val had been shot and had seen his friends dying under his very eyes. He was betrayed, sold out and was forced to see his own arm burning in the fire. Twice he had been broken, and then, after coming here at Sunset, his heart had been broken by that no-good so called 'boyfriend'.
Mitch had all the rights to be paranoid and scared, but he had a DUTY to try to enjoy life!
Yet none of those thoughts passed on her face. She patted the cat's shoulder. "So? what are your plans for the night, guys? And no, Eris, we're not gonna lit another firecracker."

The sound of Eris's firecracker alerted Mitch to such a state that he jumped up and, without warning, fired in the general direction of the noise.

"GET DOWN!" he yelled.
Everyone had paid attention to Mitch's outburst, and Bishop's remarks, almost ignoring Eris at first. Eris hadn't responded to the commotion and panic at first, and she was facing away from everyone. She hadn't even listened to anything that Bishop, Rikki, Will, or the others had said.

What she did pay attention to, however, was the stream of blood trickling from her arm, and the crossbow bolt pierced in her arm, just below her shoulder. Her injury wasn't as bad as it looked, but it would still cause some damage. She quivered in fear and shock as she stared at the bolt. She stood there, hunching over, clutching her arm just above her injury. She had stared at her wound for a small amount longer, before falling to her knees her shoulder now visible to those behind her.

Will almost jumped out of his fur when he saw Eris. He let go of Bishop and hurried other cat. The nebelung knelt down next to her
"Eris, Are you alright?" he checked the wound "I don't think I can do much about that, other than the basic clean up." he reached for his bag and pulled out a small towel, then poured some of the tea on it and began cleaning the blood. "We should get you to a vet."

Eris nodded, as she still cried, clutching her wound. She looked to her left, as if she was looking at something. She snapped back to reality and looked at Will, "Y-yeah... A vet..." She said, still sounding a bit distant. She felt the effects of the sleeper bolt taking effect, as she got drowsy, her eyes flickering tiringly.

Nate and Archy ran over, both had to some extent medical knowledge. For Archy it was the first-aid-book left around at the shelter and a handful of other bits he'd gotten. In the cat's case, it was the practical stage-crew experience of things like 'how to bandage a head wound after ramming a sharp metal air duct', 'what to do if you light your fur on fire with a soldering iron' and 'how to handle piercing by large metal objects.'

The dog handed his phone to Will with it already dialing while he pulled some useful materials from his collar and backpack. "Alright, we need to get pressure around the wound," he said, getting clothe out, "this'll hurt but it'll hold down the bleeding." As he handed Eris some bits of cloth he had handy. It was what remained of a T-shirt he used every now and then to cool off. Soak it and then put it on, enjoy the cool.

Next, the dog pulled out a flashlight to light up where the wound was and make it easier to see. He carefully took the clothe back to put it around the wound. "We can't take the arrow out, if its into any muscle tissue... we'd do more harm than good," the dog explained.

Nate meanwhile, was covering treatment for shock. Generally, the body doesn't like pain and it can react badly. He also wanted to keep Eris distracted from the pain, "Well, if that's cupid's arrow, I guess you've got a date coming up," the cat joked, "though, I guess he didn't get the note about nerf darts and rubber tips instead of pointy ones."

OOC: Okay, I've been quiet too long... I think I got the general treatment for impalement by arrow right... Its generally remove the tip (which I don't know if that is protruding from the other side of the arm or not.. otherwise it stays in), remove as little as is necessary of the shaft but leave it in, sterilize the wound site which Will did, and then carefully apply pressure around the wound to prevent excessive bleeding... if we pull it out, depending on what kind of tip is on it, it could pull out muscles and mess with nerve cells... so, that's for the vet to do with a better look at where the arrow is at exactly.

ooc: it's a tiny little crossbow bolt. like the ones you'd usually find in the blow pipes of jungle natives, only a bit bigger. No longer then a small hand, no thicker then a pinkie finger.

Amongst the commotion, Quartz put his bowl down, and ran to the trees, and jumped into them.

Katherine looked in Quartz's direction shaking her head, then looking at Lance.

Well, being in the wild can get boring, heh heh. I've been doing it as my favorite passtime. Really interesting too. The shape, the brightness, the distance between us and them.

Katherine's eyes glowed in the flickering fire's light.

Lance nodded in agreement "Yeah I can definitely see how that would elevate some of the boredom." He said as he looked around at what was happening and he shook his head.

(OOC: I don't know about everyone else but, I think its about time we get to the whole "ghost"/mouse/weird happenings stuff that we had planned. This day is starting to go on way to long)

About 20 minutes after Will called the vet and explained the situation, an animal control vehicle arrived to the camp. By that time, Will, Nate and Archy, yet Eris fell asleep shortly before they arrived. As they took her in, Will came along to accompany her, turning to the group of pets "I'll accompany Eris to the vet. Cya tomorrow, guys and gal's." He shook his head "And sorry that you won't be seen the show tonight."

Lance yawned and looked around the camp site. It was getting rather late and the Vet had come already, he stretched out a bit and blinked a few times trying to shake off the sleepiness that had hit him. "Well guys this was fun but I'm gonna head off to bed its really late." He said as he got up stretched out again and yawned louder this time starting off towards the cabins. "Night everyone." He called back to the group and waved.
