If the song had just had generic lyrics and had been released without a video, nobody would have ever noticed it, because without those absurdities it's not very memorable.Penwrite wrote:I have a confession to make...I kinda like the beat and rhythm for Friday. I still like the myriad of available remixes better than the original, though.

It's not so much liking the song as much as the fact that I'll listen to it about 50 times in a row if the mood strikes me.

Re: Your Guilty Pleasure Songs
So, people who know me probably know I like to pretend I have some semblance of a discerning taste when it comes to music, but that's just pretend. I'm bound to have plenty here.
...Hold on a minute, I'm having trouble finding songs that I actually feel guilty about enjoying. (I don't know why I felt the need to say that, I mean you're going to be reading this all at once and how long it took me to write the post doesn't matter at all! ...Oh well, whatever.)
Tiggy will enjoy this: I actually still listen to I'm Yours even though it was overplayed when it was popular here. I make fun of Jason Mraz all the time but I actually quite like him.
LMFAO, that's a guilty one. Oh my goodness. Most of their songs are so ridiculously bad that it makes me feel bad about liking even just one or two. Not even gonna link. :V
Ridiculously cheesy electro is guaranteed to get me to tell whoever sent it to me how terrible it is while I listen to it on repeat. Whoops. Buck's been the brunt of this a few times. <3
Oh yes. Japanese stuff. Denpa songs, anime theme songs (also a denpa song in its own right), squeaky j-pop stuff in general... definitely not something I'll usually talk about enjoying.
Yes I think that should do

Re: Your Guilty Pleasure Songs
Several songs by Justin Bieber.
I'm not really a big fan of him, but I'm even less of a fan of the people who constantly hate on him. So a part of me actually -wants- him to stay in the music industry for another 10 years and develop into an -actual- powerhouse; if only to shut up all the people who've been religiously making fun of him since day one.
Everything else I listen to, I'm not guilty enough of to stop me from belting it at the top of my lungs if the occasion calls for it, sooo yeah.
That includes, but isn't limited to: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, and several other artists that get a lot of flack for being "no-talents" in the industry.

Re: Your Guilty Pleasure Songs
I only make fun of Bieber in a joking way. yes, he's fairly talented, but I dislike his style of music purely on principle. And I really don't think he deserved a biopic at such an early stage in his career. Perhaps making fun of him like this is keeping him fairly down to earth. If everyone loved him, then he could end up thinking he could do anything he wants.
but yes, I sing lady Gaga and Katy Perry. not guilty.
but I do feel guilty about not completely hating Ke$ha music while still disliking her as a person.

Oh, absolutely. I don't think he deserves the fame that he's gotten in the slightest. I think it's just because I've had a lot more exposure to the loud-mouthed haters who can't shut up about how he's got no talent, when in reality he's at least on par with a lot of the other pop stars on the market today.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:I only make fun of Bieber in a joking way. yes, he's fairly talented, but I dislike his style of music purely on principle. There are a -ton- of other Youtubers that I watch for their music who are waaaaay more talented than the vast majority of mainstream singers (Justin Robinett and Michael Henry being on the top of that list for me) who I wish would've been "discovered" over JB. But I still think he's got the charisma necessary and the potential to be a really good singer, and so I've gotten kinda fed up with the over-the-top hate some people like to dish out.
Hence, why I consider him my guilty pleasure artist. Lol.

I liked his cover of I Feel Good (though I preferred Adam Lambert's honestly), and I quite like Haven't Met You Yet. But those are actually the only songs of Buble's that I've listened to.
