"Since it must pass for official matters, ah thought t'bring Ambassador Lukat-la with me. Balkan's voice lowered and firmed "Ya also know that I spend more time alone in the jungle than in any village. I know what I am and what I can do. I'm not Gian, Victor, don't treat me like a pup! I've seen more than my share in here." He sighed. He knew he won't be able to convince the Lycaon, so he calmed down and spoke with his usual tone "Anyway, Ah know Ah'm no match for yer stubbornness an' Ah won't be crossin' the will of da Chieftain!" Victor stared at the young one with a serious glance. "We don't want you endangered. You're too valuable too lose. Think, Balkan: one day we may hope to mate you with another red wolf, just like Gian is destined to a Lycaon. We need to make you sure both of you are bridges for the new generation. Much as we had our...troubles with the Wolves, they do not deserve to go extinct. If the Sacred Boa could outlive its time, then the natives of Meriweather Island deserve as much."

Aaron opened his eyes again. "Ok, we are arriving to the market plaza, place where people used to exchange and buy things. A good detail is that there weren't slaves, so it was a peaceful place" When he finished, they finally arrived. "Here it is!" The plaza was big, and from there everyone could see the most important places of the city. "I said it was a good meeting point, and it's true! From here you can see almost everything" He pointed to the temple that were in the highest part of the ruins. "Can you see the temple? That will be the last place we are visiting, so if someone is lost, you can go there and wait for us. Oh, do you have cellphones? It could be a good idea to say our numbers if you have" Asked he while preparing his special PDA.

"They're only scared. Just like we were, before the humans. The original african lycaons were the fiercest warriors of 'em all, the rabbits now hate us because we used to hunt them down. They hate our breeding policy because it makes us better, more competitive, and they don't want to go back to prey species. It only takes time, time and patience, before peace can be attained."

Gian looked at Salina and Randy, waiting to hear what Salina would think. He was jabbed in the side suddenly, and rubbed the spot looking over his shoulder. One of the youngest was getting bored. He didn't care much for the ceremonies, just the parties that followed. Gian grinned and turned back to the two lovebirds. "Ah well, de youngster' is gettin' restless... ah gotta go, see ya' at de ceremony!" Gian turned and raised his hands over his head, giving a loud 'Boo', causing the other cubs to scream in surprise and excitement as they dashed off away from the door, Gian following in hot pursuit.

Celeste opened her mouth to speak and completely forgot what she was going to say. She blinked and struggled to find something, anything, to say..."Celeste would not like to be left behind-- er me, I'm Celeste, so do not leave me behind because she would not like that. I mean I would not like that....I mean..." She stopped her rambling, and was honestly wondering where on earth it even came from. "...we should catch up to Colin..."

Colin dashed, grinning and giggling madly under his breath even as he sucked in lungfuls of air. "Ya better be hurryin' up," he sing-songed, "if ya wanna - " Colin glanced back and saw Andy gaining on him. With a yelp he quickened his pace, trying to stay ahead of the dog. The whole time, the big grin never left his face.

"Heya Colin!" Andy said casually as he caught up to the lya'con, matching his pace. One paw was holding his hat on his head, while the other raised to his forehead in a mock-salute. "If I didn't know 'ny better, I'd say you weren't happy tah see me!" he joked.

Celeste smiled gratefully and didn't give an audible reaction when Adel picked her up. In fact, this time she went as far as putting her arms around his shoulders and holding on.

Adel was surprised at Celeste's reaction, but he certainly wasn't about to complain about it. Rather, he smiled and picked up his pace. This is very nice, the German Shepherd thought, looking down at Celeste every once in a while.

Donau kept listening, with a newutral expression, but beaming inwardly. That was her girl, and the island was working her magic again! He hoped Mystic got the clue...

Mystic began to type something into his PDA adding Heart's cellphone, with the joke he stopped and giggled "Of course not!". When he heard Heart's question he suddendly stopped doing anything and blushed. "Ehm... No, why?" Then he changed the target of his sight from the PDA to Heart's eyes.

An' when da day comes, when they're cubs, they'll go each one to another village, to help build up new bloodlines."

"Mmmm okay" Randy said, sitting back on the bench. "I do hope I can spend time with them as well. They are our kids too. Didn't you spend time with Mother when you were a younger pup?"

Randy then looked up at the sky and noticed the sun had shone even brighter. It bore the uncanny resemblance of an afternoon day and that made Randy sit up. "Oh hey! The ceremony! Isn't it about to begin shortly?" he asked.

They started walking toward the plaza. "Well, of course I did. But dese'll be our first mixed blood since a long time. Our duty as parents is to protect 'em until they can go livin' elsewhere an' be raised elsewhere. The new breed must spread as far as possible. Dat's why Gian is bound with the whole village. We all are his parents."

Aaron saved Donau's number in his PDA and saved it again. "Huh? Oh, as I said I came a week ago, hmm... I think that I've been almost all day here all these days... but the trick is that I'm a fast learner. That helps!" Said while giggling. "Well, if we are done here, I think we should head to another plaza. A music plaza! There are different music plazas, and you can differentiate each plaza with the staves it has graven on the floor. Each stave has a different combination of notes. Now that we have a musician here, I think it would be a good idea to see the music of one of these plazas!" Said smiling while leading the way to that plaza.

*Some minutes later*

"Ok! We arrived to the first music plaza!" The plaza was like a checkpoint, a peaceful place with a spiral stave begining from the center to the border. "What do you think?"

Gian had broken away from his group of friends when a member of the village told him the one of the elders were looking for him. He approached the hut slowly, glancing around to see if anyone would acknowledge his presence. They didn't even notice him for the most part as they were all too busy with ceremony preparations. He did however get a gesture from one of the o'salisgraves working right next to the hut to enter. Gian nodded and pushed the blanket aside. He glanced around. There were crates from the laboratories stacked pretty high up. Was it time for his visit? He was sure that was tomorrow... "Elder? Are you in? Helloooo?"

The amphiteater could've been used both for speeches and concerts. It was amazing how it was well preserved, considering the whole city lay in the middle of a thick forest. The indented rows suggested that for each human spectator, there would come an animal one at his or her side.
Where the sun and the elements had not bleached the stone, residual of pain suggested this place was tinted in azure and red, with some gray thrown in. Some researchers were working on the stage, and the sound carried perfectly.
"I still say wow," Donau said, "No matter how many times I see this place.
