If you haven't watched all of Miyazaki's works, I'd recommend that before anything else.

I think anime conventions should be avoided in this conversation unless you want the newest generation of forum members to know your terrible secret.

And I don't mean your secret identity.

to be honest, I'm always playing around with a wooden katana a friend's lending me...I don't know what'll happen if I ever stumbled across a real katana...

Thinking now, if he was in my house..."baseball bat, no...wooden katana, no...pair of tonfa, no...oh yes, nunchucks alright!"

I'm not much into all that Kill Bill stuff, it just doesn't appeal to me. If this was about something like Donnie Darko, oh, it'd be a completely different conversation.

Meh, in my view KB Volume 1 was perfect, but 2... Let's say Tarantino shouldn't have tried to milk the audience with a boring, jumbled second part but should have scrapped it altogether and made O-Ren the main antagonist.

You are aware that's just a generic term japanese apply to the various "ninja-swords" depicted in Hollywood movies, meaning that the seller you bought it from could have sold you any sword as a ninjato?
