i think they should bring back Trixie and have her and Twilight fight off an actual Ursa Major

These guys ctually finishing a real fight, yeah right. Everytime they start fighting thety either loose becuase its a level 78 dragon or something. or they find a peaceful solution.

But trixie should be a recurring character.

well i find it hard for them to find a peaceful way to stop an Ursa Major
i doubt it could be put to sleep the way the Minor was, since that was a baby
and i get the feeling that Ursa's can't communicate via speech

so yeah, try finding a way to beat one without fighting, i can't
and don't say Fluttershy

They'd probably do something like baricade it away some where. If they actually would fight the only way to win would porbably involving going all anime on it with the 6 chaos emeralds I mean elements of harmony, or it would involve celestia coming in to save everyones butt.

I was surprised to see the "blood" in the newest episode. It's not technically inappropriate, but still, it's always amusing to see things like that which you don't expect to see in a cartoon this cutesy.

The finale of the two-part pilot is reminiscent of Sailor Moon, but really the show is nothing like that after episode 2.

You should definitely try to watch it!

Nah it really isn't. The show takes influence from a lot of places so it's hard to pin down, but think of it as like early 2000s Spongebob Squarepants with slightly faster pacing, more plot and continuity, less surrealism, and more dynamic staging. And since it's kindergarten-2nd grade programming, expect the typical dialogue repetition, over-explanation, and group laughter at the end of nearly every episode.

People will always complain about anything. There's nothing wrong with a show being animated with Flash if it looks this good!

i can understand people not liking Flash animation, considering that a lot of it is very badly done, but that's only because most people who use it just don't care

But ya know, I think something a lot of people don't understand about cartoons is that it's not all about the animation. I didn't fall in love with FiM because of the animation (though that did play a role), I love it because of the clever, joyful writing. That's my favorite thing about this show, the writing.
