Woof... looking through past sorrows, some of you guys have gone through some heavy tragedies. I'm terribly sorry to hear about the losses your losses. You have my condolences.

Joy: Finally got some down time to come around here more often. Yay!
Sorrow-ish: Aside from getting sick like the rest of the family, for some reason I've been losing the spirit of this particular season as the years go by. Maybe it's my location or perhaps I'm getting older. Anyways, this has always been the first thing to pop into my mind when December begins; it just starts to feel more empty. Ahh well... time for me to frantically search for Christmas presents for friends and family. Yay?

I know what you mean, Firenze. I've been having the same feeling as the years go by. I'm just wishing this Christmas will be good. But I don't wanna jinx myself...

Sorrow: You know that feeling where you're so close to something, but can't get it? Like, it's LITERALLY right in front of you, but you can't get it. This is how I felt seeing Tales of Xillia awhile ago while I was at the mall. And it was on sale too. But I don't have enough money for a PS3 yet.

I'm so sad....

Joy: My uni's football team won last night.
Joy: Visitied my dad, who's still recovering from his knee surgery, which sorta made his day.
Joy: I've been visiting the family a lot more this year. I don't know if I changed or they did but we get along much better now.
Sorrow: My extended family continues to do stupid self destructive things. Especially my cousins. It's kinda sad when the film student is the one with his life together in any given generation of the family.

My oldest cat had been lethargic the entire weekend, not budging from a particular place downstairs and eating little.

Right this morning I drove with her to the vet. She's been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that attacks her leukocytes. Her levels are "critical". I may lose my first cat to internal bleeding over the coming days.

I'm very sad to hear that, Liam. The smaller dogs in our family were put to sleep due to their teeth getting too old, but they at least lived long. I hope for the best.

The cortisone shots seem to work, she ate again and jumped on a chair to sleep.

She wouldn't be the first one. We took in a tricolor from a farm, and roughly a year in she began to waste away through FIV...

The older of our cats went deaf. As she's 18 we were ready for the vet to pronounce the worst. He said if antibiotics didn't work...

She's now back to her cantankerous best.

That's a sorrow? I'm not a PS Vita fan at all, but that actually sounds awesome that you're getting one, buddy.

Joy: While we were presenting our final speeches today in my communications class, there was one girl in particular who pointed me out as someone she wanted to compliment. I didn't know her very well, but she said that she loved how I always made her laugh every time I gave my speeches and enjoyed the joyful attitude I brought to class every time I presented. That really brought joy to my heart despite all the blushing...

Sorrow: I have just lost one of my closest friends the other night after enduring a serious argument with him. Thankfully we're still friends in the end, but all the compassion we had together has now been lost. Now everything feels so heartless every time we talk to each other. I had trouble sleeping during that night... but at the same time I knew that it was for the best.

Try getting a random flatmate? I mean, it's one way of getting to know a complete stranger, and if everything goes well, you can get to expand your social circle a little bit. The risk of getting someone who you don't like is pretty high, but you'll never know until you try.
