naylorfan90 wrote:Hey, I was hoping for clarification on something. If we're going to be following the arcs from the comic, then what does the scriptwriter actually do? I'm sure I'll get an obvious answer that I'll feel like an idiot for not thinking of myself, but no harm in asking. ^_^
Well, we'll be following the arcs, but we won't be interpreting them word-for-word. Rather, the script-writers will rewrite the arcs to fit an auditory form (I'll explain the reasoning behind this in a PM if you wish), and each arc will be a single recording (or two, if it's long enough). The scripts will also include any sound effects and necessary placement of characters (yes I know these will just be audio files, but sounds can be affected by placement).

And it's good to ask questions, don't worry. :D

Makes sense, thanks for the quick response. =D I soooo want to audition for someone, but college is ramping up to finals for me. @_@ Maybe once the break starts I'll send in some recordings...
Ah, the benefits of being an art major: no finals in any of my art classes. :D

I'm noting you have put on the front page a spot for "Musicians/Sound Effects"
Does this mean you're looking for instrumentalists or something else?
Cause if it's the former, I will be auditioning Very Soon. :D

The former, though any digital mixing capabilities would also be appreciated.

Just out of curiosity, shouldn't the casting include a narrator? Or am I thinking of the wrong type of radio show...

"Radio Show" is really a poor name for it. What this is is merely audio interpretations of the story arcs (and maybe the one-offs). It would be like a tv show, but without the visual aspect.

Hey one question. Is there going to be actual real world songs used in the show? I mean like, is there going to come a time where a scene will have something like thriller playing or a moment that calls for a movie theme of some sort, or do you want all the music to be original? (Of course, I don't plan on stealing music, I was just curious)

Actually, I haven't quite gotten to yours yet. I will flat out tell you if you don't get a part, to keep from confusing people.

As for the music question, yes, all the music will be original.

Oh okay. Sorry if I was overdramatic. SWEET, I'M REX! :D

ONE LAST QUESTION I ask way too many. ._. are there going to be original episodes, or are we going to strictly stick with the story arcs?

A quick update: I have no problem with giving multiple parts to people, whether that be multiple characters to play, or multiple positions in different aspects of the project. All I ask is that you don't stretch yourself too thin. I assume you all have lives outside of this forum, and I don't want this to get in the way of your lives, and vice versa. So only take as much as you can COMFORTABLY fit into your schedule. (Also, if you want more than one speaking part, you have to prove to me you can change your voice enough to play to characters, and I have to feel your voice fits)

Don't be bitter. :P

There's no limit to the number of times you can audition; you just didn't fit the two characters you tried for

I have pretty much nothing but time (although that's soon to change) but I'm happy just to be playing ONE character, especially if he's my favorite! :D TWICE I've been chosen to play King now!

I'm doubtful about my ability to do multiple characters anyway....

HEAD OF VOICE ACTING: Unfilled
-This person will be in charge of pulling the resources from the voice actors together. All you have to do is collect recordings, and advise the voice actors when they need it. Voice actors can still come to me, but this person is more direct.
