Rock sure knows what it takes to calm someone down real quick.
Re: 2016/01/29 - Temp(erature) Housing
Ok crew, you´re safe ... for now
Re: 2016/01/29 - Temp(erature) Housing
Wow, that was easy. The hard part would be prying her away to see the new den. Karishad, don't disappoint!

There’s evil somewhere in this, I know,
Turning me out of my tree for a TV show.
You can’t do this, I know I’ve got the rights
To… um… shut up and go see the sights?
Where’s he going with those planks of wood,
Pretending to know all a handyman should?
You do remember I live in a tree, right?
You damage anything, Kari, there’ll be a fight.
So how long do I live in punishing luxury?
Condemned for a week? Two? The next snow flurry?
How fast will the guest stars get around?
This is the hottest jail on Babylon woods ground.

Karishad looks way too happy for someone hauling wood beams

Oh no... I don't see this going very well. My guess is, since Karishad is involved, this is going to be Tiger's Very Own Super Special Television Show, but 100 times worse. By the time this is all said and done, Jessica just might skin poor Kari.

This is why I said Kari and Rock are going to die.Ghost Machine wrote:Oh no... I don't see this going very well. So, which of these machines allows you to take a tan during the winter?
If I hit someone with a dictionary is that physical, or verbal assault?

I said 'allows you' not something else.

Do opossums or ferrets have the same intolerance to chocolate that dogs do?Argent wrote:"Wait, why do you have a machine that dispenses poison?"
Re: 2016/01/29 - Temp(erature) Housing
Ferrets, absolutely. They seem even less capable of dealing with it than dogs. Possums, probably not, but theobromine (found in chocolate and coffee) tolerance has only been actually measured in dogs, cats, humans, and rodents. We can assume that carnivores in general have a problem, though some viverrids are known to eat coffee cherries but pass the beans undigested.Kitch wrote:Do opossums or ferrets have the same intolerance to chocolate that dogs do?Argent wrote:"Wait, why do you have a machine that dispenses poison?"

Re: 2016/01/29 - Temp(erature) Housing
Most likely ferrets. With opossum it could go either way, but I think it would be in their best interest to avoid. It isn't really an intolerance; they're unable to metabolize theobromine quickly enough to prevent it from acting as a neurotoxin if it accumulates. The same goes for caffeine, only more so.Kitch wrote:Do opossums or ferrets have the same intolerance to chocolate that dogs do?Argent wrote:"Wait, why do you have a machine that dispenses poison?"
Knowledge is not as simple as having the right answers. Knowledge is a way of finding them.

Also, speaking of viverrids and coffee, please do not buy, support, promote, or drink Kopi Luwak. The guy who originally promoted it is horrified by the results of his actions and is now trying to get it banned. Some large distributors in the UK have dropped it. The animals responsible for eating and excreting the beans that are then used to make "civet coffee" are being farmed in horrifying conditions to meet the demand.

You've always got to wonder with those machines, if the powdered hot chocolate mix is actually chocolate, or just artificially chocolate flavored something else (sugar? Starch?) given most of the ingredient names are unpronounceable chemicals. Or at least the refill packs for the commercial ones are.
Also there is such a thing as decaf instant cappuccino, it's disgusting and overpriced, but it is a thing.

No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Some days later: Rock you disgusting devilish ferret, the machine is out of coffee, chocolate, AND hot water! I knew there was something evil about it!

Oh, congratulations, Rock! You found a quick and efficient way to calm down your vict... ehm, Jessica. Eh, when money can do the impossible... Anyway, you could insist with your rights, Jessica, and if there are none, you have to make some now. But no, it's not the time, you're so comfy inside the trailer. Now pretend to make it your new second house! Karishad is already at work (who can stop him? ), can't wait to see what "good" work he'll do inside dat den.

next thing we know the tree starts to resemble a TARDIS in it's constraint to physical proportion...

Jess has the right idea. Snuggle up in a warm bed and wait for it to all blow over.
The animated signature I've used for years is too big for this forum! When I get time, I'll have to deconstruct it and make it smaller!

I really hate these sorts of 'reality' shows.
I really prefer Ferrets.

Tiger would probably try to mock each attempt while simultaneously pull his fur out as she succeeds. =3Welsh Halfwit wrote:And where would Tiger go?
