Housepets!

Sorrow: My sister who came in for her friend's birthday and is staying with her says she will only be around for under 5 minutes tomorrow when we have a Father's Day pizza party. Its more important for her to spend time with her friend I guess and its really disheartening.

Sorry to say, Amazee, but I think there's only one thing you can do to express your displeasure and how much this has hurt you. When she comes? Make sure everyone's out.

Sorrow: Have to send my cat hubbard to the vet today, but it's to see if the tumor problem can be fixed. medicine was working fine until last week, so we're hoping we can fix this.

Joy, managed to get hold of a 1930's hardback English translation of Bambi, a life in the woods with illustrations (love a real book), now to read it.

Joy: Her tests came back and she's doing fine! Just have to clean her more and we're going to try different meds.

So glad to hear that. We had to take Sophie to the emergency clinic back on June the 9th. She's begun having lower back pain, something we've been dreading ever since she joined us fifteen years ago. Havin a missing front paw is endearing, but we knew eventually her posture compensations would become complications. She's recuperating now but has a poor appetite and the pills knock her out, which is worrisome. Mom is off in Wisconsin and Sophie misses her as well (she loves her papa but she ADORES her mom). Best to your feline - I miss Andy very much.

I hope you see Andy soon

Andy answered his Creator's invitation to that great Catnip pasture just before we moved back to New Hampshire. The Kitty-shaped urn holding his cremains sits on the top shelf of my work desk, presiding over my labors with predictable feline bemusement. He was ten years a good chum.

Sorrow: The humidity is climbing again and I could barely get any sleep despite the fact that I was actually tired.

Funeral was very celebratory - lotsa good things said about Bruce. I'll miss him sorely even thou' I hadn't seen him since leaving NC back in 2017.

Air conditioned houses sound very exotic to me, I just have windows.

Serious empathies here, Amazz. Our HVAC blew a valve on Wednesday so, until they can get the part, I'm just able to run fans to keep the house cool. Mercifully, the weather's gotten rainy and a bit colder so it's not too bad. However, when it get fixed, dunno - repair folks are overwhelmed with business and appointments hard to make. (Question: if you are not "overwhelmed", can you still be "whelmed"?)

Anyhow, I thought of you when all this foolishness started.
