That's so sad, Oded ... everyone needs to have an animal or two around.

Joy: I have enough money saved up to get a nice pair of bass-heavier headphones to complement my HD558s.
Sorrow: It's unhealthy and absurd how indecisive I am with this decision. Send help.

Trust me, if I had help I would end up using it on myself because I am just as indecisive and someone who goes back and forth on trying to make a decision.

Oded, I understand what depression does to a person, but coming here and posting lies about yourself is not the way to handle things. Please talk to someone you can trust about how you're feeling and find a specialist in your area if you need to. My PMs are always open if you want

How much money did you end up spending for them?

$191. I went with the V-Moda Crossfade M-100s over the Philips Fidelio X2HR and Sennheiser 58X Jubilee for the better portability. All of them were around $150 base, but I got better pads and custom engraving on the sides.

Also, another Joy: the weather here. Tornadoes and strong storms tonight, possibly snow in the morning. Gotta love it. Maybe I should've went with meteorology instead of management...

Joy: I managed to catch up on my soap opera since I couldn't watch the episode last night.

Sorrow: I had to go to another memorial. This time for my aunt's father-in-law. He lived a long 87 years but of course he died from the big "C". Specifically, melanoma that metastasized EVERYWHERE.

Joy: Starting to work on my fanfiction again. Even if it's bit by bit, it's now or never time. I'll make it by the deadline!

Sorrow: I had wanted to spend my day with friends, as today was the last day I would've been able to see them and celebrate my birthday a bit early before I want back to university, but they weren't able to get the day off work so I spent it alone.

But I did head down to the nearby shopping mall to check out some stores I hadn't before and ended up picking up a few new books.

Another sorrow, posing here so I don't double post: I replaced the batteries in my coin counter, not realizing it would set the total to $0. So now I gotta pit all $100+ in coins back through it. My hands are gonna smell like old coins for the rest of the week -_-

Man, just full of (minor) sorrows for me: It's supposed to rain all week. I left my umbrella at home, so I had to shell out $30 for a new one. Not the present I wanted to get myself, if I'm being honest...

At least it is something. I don't really know what to tell people to get me for a present since I don't want too much anymore.

Sorrows: Congestion issues have been giving me a hard time. Waking up with a sore throat for the last few days has been very irritating.

Joys: I got some Mucinex from the grocery store today that should help me out and let me get a good night’s sleep before my trip tomorrow.

Its always fun to find out that your older car has a lot more issues and its annoying to have to deal with since because the car is so old it might not be a problem you can get fixed anymore.

Sorrow: Absolutely livid with my online speech class. My informative speech, which I practiced and timed several times and which was always in the accepted time range, ended up being several minutes longer than the max limit. So I had to cut a ton of stuff out, leaving it in a pitiful state, and then during my best recording my camera slipped and recorded the whole speech at an angle. I'm tempted to submit it as is because I'm so sick of giving this speech for a class that I swear is made for babies.

Sorrow: I've got a once-per-week class on Mondays this semester, and the professor sent a very-easy-to-miss notification that despite there not being any classes for the day, he's still having his class and expects everyone to be there else he's docking points. Guess who missed the memo? Plus he turned off the post dates so I can't even see when this was posted. Luckily, this professor also happens to be my adviser so I can go ask him tomorrow.

That's great news Amazee, I hope you love your job :)

Joy: Today I outlined my last speech for my winterim class. It was much easier than the previous speeches, which is a relief because I was most nervous about this one. There's nothing left to do in this class now, besides doing a small assignment, taking an easy test, and recording my speech.

Joy: I got that class I missed sorted out.
Minor sorrow: The new headphones I got made me realize the USB audio card I've been using (mainly for the mic since the onboard mic jack has too much interference) has basically no low-end output. Night-and-day difference between the two, like from brain-shaking bass with the onboard to almost nothing with the external card.Which is kinda a shame since the onboard headphone port is slightly busted; plug the headphones in at the wrong angle and I get no sound. A minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, although it makes a strong argument for getting a nice DAC/amp once I graduate.

Joy with a bit of surprise: It turns out that one of the teachers at the school that I work at now whom I thought was someone different was ACTUALLY my sub for 6th grade back in 2004 and she also had my cousin. Gotta love coincidences!
