Re: Music.
I found this through Rock Band 3. This is why I'm not satisfied playing eighth notes of the root for an entire song when I play bass.

Re: Music.
That bassine had me speechless for awhile...
Sleet, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THAT!!
To add something here, I recently saw a tab for this in a magizine:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6f6BOKXXxg
Like Sleet, I'd rather have this than roots...
EDIT (V2.0) Is that Nathan Watts on the bass? I was never too good with names, but I'd like to listen to more of his work...

HELP!
From my LJ:
I'm having trouble looking for a song. The lyrics go something like "cause I know... there's... got to be another lover, some... where... *memory lapse* other side. *memory lapse* feeling like it's now or never. Can I break the spell of the typical?" Does anyone have the slightest clue of what this might be?

Re: Music.
Does the soundtrack to an awesome British show count?
And even though it's inconceivable that nobody else posted it in 50+ pages, I give you the song Knights of Cydonia. Behold, one of the best music videos you will ever see.

Knights of Cydonia is like, the only example of a music video I like, even though I absolutely hate the song. I pretty much hate Muse so much.

I don't hate them per se, but their songs are terrible. Most of them.Senator_Sunburst wrote:Knights of Cydonia is like, the only example of a music video I like, even though I absolutely hate the song. I pretty much hate Muse so much.

Re: Music.
I've always thought the accordion, like the banjo, has a bad reputation that it doesn't deserve. Which kind of helps them, actually; it's unexpected when they're used in a cool way, which makes for a neat sound.

Trust me, Professor layton OST is one of the best in videogame history. I love orchestral music :3Sleet wrote:Is all the music in the Professor Layton games like that?

Re: Music.
My top 3 (in no particular order);
-Phantasy Star Online
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl
-Final Fantasy VI
Though that game definitely sounds like a contender. Though I feel like I'd be cheating since I've never played one before.

If only I had seen it earlier I would have been all over naming that. I like Hadouken!
Although to be fair, just plain ol' Grime is better.

Ive been going through the seasons of Battle Star Galactica recently, up to season four now, but at the end of season three they used this:

Awesome interpretation of a great song, and executed perfectly in the episode. Probably do have to see the series to understand, but I think it pretty good on its own merits. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

That's a great re-mix, considering me and my band have been playing the Jimi-Hendrix version lately.viridis wrote:Ive been going through the seasons of Battle Star Galactica recently, up to season four now, but at the end of season three they used this:

Thanks for sharing that!
Speaking of semi-acoustic/remixes, you might want to take a listen to this
