I bet Cory Cilantro's first name is short for Coriander.
Also I bet Rick has the gene that makes cilantro taste like soap.

I thought his first name was Cilantro and Cory was a nickname? He didn't say anything about have a last name after all just that it was short for "Cilantro".
Also, while they come from the same plant, cilantro and coriander are two different things. They are different parts of the plant and have different flavors and aromas so its not a good idea to try to substitute them in recipes as they are very contrasting to each other.

A lot of people use the names interchangeably. It CAN be cilantro and coriander seed, or it can just simply be coriander and coriander seed. Kind of like it can be eggplant, or it can be aubergine.

A skunk by any other name would smell as ... a skunk.
