To be fair though at first Joel DIDN'T get a choice and it took a lot of time and him falling in love with Bailey to get him to accept being an animal. I don't think it will work if Rick tries to do the same thing with all the transformed humans.
See, Joel was just one guy. This is the entire world. To put that into perspective: I commit a murder, that's a small-time tragedy. I blow up an entire continent, that's an international atrocity.

i agree that this doesnt seem to be a conclusion; more likely just showing whats been happening while theyre flying to Egypt and fighting demons and stuff, in the mundie world.
That being said, *something* broke the spell on them all at once that kept them from seeing their animal selves. Eudoant's destruction?

Not really sure how that spell ended up making sense looking back on it now. It prevented them from seeing them as their animal selves unless it was pointed out to them. But they could see others as animals because they saw Todd in his red panda form. But surely if they saw other random animals on the street they would freak out and realize something is wrong sooner. Unless the spell prevented them from seeing everybody EXCEPT Marion and co their animal selves.

The news report said "thousands". This is in line with how many people would have been transformed during Steward's rampage. Also Steward made it so that nobody noticed that the people around them were animals, and that effect clearly has ended, hence why the title is "your new reality".
