Good to see this duo back. Dragons fondness for Peanut was touching I always thought, a hint of humanity (in a roundabout way).

Exactly. Her exchange with Max represents one of those unique and unexpected episodes of tenderness and compassion that I came to really enjoy in Housepets! and strengthened my initial devotion to Rick's work. Those and the Marx Brother's mode mayhem of the "Imaginates", the pageants, and the various rivalries and satirical subplots. I have missed them of late.trekkie wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 11:07 pmNHWestoN wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 4:18 pmYeah, I have a bit of a fondness for the weepy ol'snake m'self. Pete's seen too many Adam Sadler movies.Vertigo Fox wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 3:49 pm Don't wanna disappoint Pete or anything, I know I'm usually much more of a gryphon-lover, but in this case I really am more of a fan of Dragon.....
I like Dragon/Draig as well, her moment with Max was sweet, and I have a fondness for dragons
I was happy Pete was punished too, but he already redeemed himself (kinda?). I doubt he'd do same thing again. I'm not saying he'd suddenly have change of heart, but think of Piccolo from Dragon Ball. Or Vegeta. They still were "grumpy" even when they teamed up with "good guys". Pete would remain himself, but would change his behavior. At least I think and hope so. I want to see him as a Pete with King. Also did Craig ever met King? I don't remember. I think he met his kids, but not him.Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 9:03 pm I was glad Pete got what he deserved for screwing around with Joel's life but I am happy to see him again. I just hope they aren't ALSO meat shields like Marion and Lois were.

He didn't fully redeemed himself, but I kinda think of Craig as more self-reflected character. Also current strip shows that he still is pretty much himself, but he is more... I dunno. I got a feeling that becoming a fox made him a little less jerk. In the past, he was 100% selfish. Right now, he is helping others. Of course I know he was still doing this to regain his demigod form, but... he could have really die here. Also his feelings towards Kix. In the past "a mere mortal" wouldn't matter to him.Welsh Halfwit wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 4:25 pmWhen? He's been insufferable throughout. Just now with added cute.
Rick's established a pretty vigorous and creative vision of the afterlife - "A lot more crowded then I'da thought" (Fox, I think).Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 12:43 pm To be fair though, we don't know if the kind of death everybody has experienced from being zapped is a permanent death. Odds are they will just get sent back to Heaven and be revived there.
Now I'm starting to wonder where that silly transforming coin has gotten off to ... and if maybe Thomas (the Camel, not the tank-engine) Milton will make a guest appearance.Vertigo Fox wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 12:30 am Yeah, they both definitely have... issues... but I think hers are a lot more interesting
Maybe it'll be Eudoant's turn to "go to pieces."Amazee Dayzee wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 9:43 pm I know that Eudoant broke the coin into thirds and gave one to Nega-Breel and the other to Steward so those pieces might be with them. I assume Eudoant has the last piece.
