Title Text: Why ruin a good thing!

Eudoant, you might want to work on your haggling skills

All that is needed, for good to regret,
is the knowledge that they made the danger.
When played against the universal truth
they find that the demon’s not a stranger.
Kit’s first shou was for his noble lady;
an action that proves he really feels love
but, right now, he needs to concentrate more;
the world’s in need of a Hawk, not a Dove.
The battle tumbles through the power of talk;
as Bahamut tells of his foul feeling.
Once again Kit’s main skill is shining through;
getting them to talk can be revealing.

For once and only once, I agree with Kitsune...Demons aren't that smart.

So, what is Eudoant trying to accomplish then? Do they want to destroy the Mana out of pure pride and hubris then?

Interesting how their little speech echoes what Demon-Steward brought up pages ago though...

I don't think he even has a plan or even thought his current plan out. Judging by this page, he's just "RAH I'M DEMON SO I DO BAD THINGS!"

The current plan appears to be, "Get the mana to elevate to a higher level of awareness and understanding. Once I am at that higher level, I will know what to do next." It's not particularly elaborate, but not that bad a plan.

Given the response to Kitsune's question, it doesn't appear that Eudoant even cares about changing the status quo. The rationale is, "The mana it's there for anyone to take. I am 'anyone', therefore I am allowed to take it." Again, not particularly elaborate, but not invalid.

Lastly, and I actually do need some help with this one, but what has Eudoant done in the pursuit of this goal that is actually evil?

Apart from unleashing a demon psychobadger on the city and implying that Steward's plan was inconsequential because he was going to destroy the earth?

Ah, but an implication is not an action; it is not evil to imply something (even if it is kind of a jerk move).

As for the "demon psychobadger," Steward's own words reveal that he was acting in the way he was because he assumed that's the way that demons acted. Even then, he tried very, very hard to make sure he did not permanently harm anyone, so assumptions or not, he wasn't really committed to being evil.

So, again, what has Eudoant done that is actually evil?

Perhaps it's not so much what she's done yet, as to the diabolical purposes Eudoant intends for the manna power once the Infernals control it.

We now know that Kitsune knows that Kix and the others are watching the battle because he called out to her. But he must only care about her since he called her out by name. :lol:

Yeah I know that he meant everybody but I just wanted to joke about it a bit.

Yeah, kinda hard to do a full-name cast call when someones trying to punch your teeth down your throat.

Incidentally, maybe it's just me, but has the shape of Eudoant's muzzle changed? Previously, it was more bunted and a little longer and now it looks shorter and has a slightly-upturned snout ... Or not. ;)

It's an hard fight, and shouldn't be only Kix to be out from there... :? Actually, if other mana was left in that temple, a demon would wish it... :roll: Well, Eudoant, that's what you demons are made and work for, and you even admit that wouldn't change anything if you were in charge. :P Good to know, Great Kitsune, eheh. :D Words won't be enough to end this fight, anyway... :|

Just a random thought: What if, when Eudoant tried to use the mana...it actually backfired, due to a safeguard a Celestial put on the mana to prevent misuse, and, as a example, turned him good?

I like the way your mind works, Sean. ;)

I wouldn't mind seeing what a good Eudoant would end up doing and how he would try to repent if possible.

Well, you know what they say: Never consume an energy field bigger than your head.

Yep and to add to that thought: What if it not only turned him good...but into a legit baby version of himself? Allowing Kitsune and Kix to raise him alongside Draig and Craig?

Imagine the mana just kills Eudoant.

Or and this is just being funny: Eudoant goes to touch the mana but his MOTHER comes in and scolds him for being a "Very naughty boy!" and takes him back home.

Could've just said "you lot!"

Eudoant seems to be in a special fighting form, like Kitsune is. Note the skeleton tail with the scythe on the end, the line patterns, and I swear he didn't have horns before.

I suspect that they want the freedom to operate on the mortal plane without worrying about being persecuted by heaven.

That makes a lot of sense now that I think about it so it probably is the reason.
