Title Text: well maybe you don't actually get to see anyone becoming crazy paper bag characters but you do at least get to imagine it, and that's just as good, right? (please don't kill me)

Welp, at least they're adorable :D

The squad strikes superhero poses
with bags pulled down onto their noses.
(Or, in Marion’s case, under)
when is comes to this, all that I know is
several won’t come up smelling of roses.
The temple has crumbled, it seems,
along with all Dragon’s dreams
(Does Draig have them, I wonder?)
They’ll still probably split into teams
to finish off the celestial themes.
Entering a dust bowl ruin
‘Noble’ Draig and her twin
(I expect him to make the blunder)
might just know where to begin.
They often know where to find a sovereign...

As soon as I saw the names on the paper bags, I knew “Kitsune-dang it, it’s gonna be a fakeout, and we won’t get to see them turn into anything”

Kix as Bayonetta...I can see that.

They are adorable, and I love the powers/roles everyone picked. Didn’t have Nega pegged as an anime fan.

Strangely he's chosen someone who can kill without effort.

Whom did Steward pick though? His picture is cut off...

Marion's inconsistent size is bothering me.

He's probably much closer to the 'camera' than the others.

I'm wondering if Kitsune moved the temple to prevent them from getting into it so that they don't endanger themselves. That seems like something he would do. His trickster personality comes into play by not telling them and making them fly first class to Egypt all for nothing.

Gang, you're gonna need bigger bags (more writing surfaces for self-glorifying fan-culture persona references).

They're there. :) They'll be in many in the temple, this time, and cool roles choices. :D Eheh, at the end, Draig added to be a demigod. :P Tarot wants to remain herself, good. ;) Kix as Bayonetta sounds great. 8-) That can work, Marion. :P It's just Steward's role the one we don't know yet. Yeah, the metaphor works, but sounds weird to me say it to a partially destroyed temple. ;)

Or what if the actual temple wasn't there because Pete forgot to actually build it?

It's not his temple. It's Spirit Dragons.

I’m wondering how does Kix know of Bayonetta?

And wow, Marion went with Pre-Crisis Superman at the start! One, nerd, two, absolutely broken in terms of power. Like, toning Superman down was just one of the reasons for the Crisis event.

But the detail of the bag covering the entirety of his head is pretty funny.

Seriously, anyone have any guesses? For me, I'd like to believe he wrote 'Demon-Me, but Nicer' or something.

Nobody will be able to prove their decisions are good if they don't get into the temple to go through it though. I still say Kitsune has his nine tails all over this.

Considering the amount of litigation Rick might endure if those characters turn up, I don't think they're getting in there with those hats!

Eh. It's not the characters, it's the Housepets cast getting those characters' powers and probably their costumes as well.

That should come under fair use.

Fair use only comes into play (generally) for cameos. If the use is over several months, it would be more problematic.

Pretty sure that if Rick let them all into the temple we would have a few months of this arc playing out so Welsh is right. No way we are seeing those characters.

For now, they're "templerary", but when they're victorious, they'll be "Ex-templerary"!

I'm more concerned about Breel being one. He's supposed to have lived about 150 years ago!

He’s been alive for a couple years now, no doubt he would binge on the new media. Maybe some of that knowledge got sucked into NegaBreel when he took some of Breel’s positive emotions?

I'm just dying to know what Steward's is, since his is cut off. And I'm shocked no one else here is trying to guess (I already did, of course)...

He’s been living with Keene for a while, the ferret probably introduced him to TV programs.

Maybe Heaven lets you keep up on media, if you want? Probably has entire channels where you can watch 'what if [insert favourite show cancelled before its time] got more seasons?' and conversely 'what if they finished the show with a grand send-off, before it all went to heck?', not to mention having entire libraries filled with 'your favourite author, but if they had all the time and money in the world and could just spend their entire (long, no deaths before they satiate the muses) life writing'.

I would actually be HOPING that Heaven has media and other stuff you can do instead of just staying put and not doing anything forever. That would be boring. But since Heaven lets you have all of your wishes and desires at any time I am assuming that it is a possibility and Breel got curious so he asked for that.

Keene and his mom binged multiple seasons of Firefly, so there’s that.

Sadly, no Keene as Albert Wesker x3

I got a good chuckle out of this comic today, thanks Rick :3
