Not a knock against this at all, but this is something I sometimes have problems with villains who have this kind of power:

"Ahahaha! I can manipulate your perceptions & trap you in a world of illusions! You will see what you want to see! Buwhwhahaha!!"

(Shortly after)

"No! I am defeated! How did you overcome my mastery of your own perceptions?!"

Yeah... how did that happen? Did the villain just forget about their own power? It's almost as if seeing the villain defeated is what the heroes...wanted...to...see.

Hi, Lunar, we're okay. The missus, Sophie, and I just returned from visiting our duaghter in Buffalo, NY, for a week. She and her husband went to Jamaica for a few days, and gave us a chance to housesit. Buffalo's not a bad town, although the weather was a bit to the cold side, and the city itself was pretty low activity (lots of closed places and little traffic). But we're good. A little worried about Sophie - she's been lethargic lately, not a big fan of travel and new places. But she's 18 and a senior dog missing a front paw so her life is always changing now.

You're well, I trust?

Cheese potato salad or pudding, ice cream, muffin, brown butter cookies, cheese sandwich ...
We enjoy our foods and temporarily escape reality...

Just looking at the Aardvark in that group scene, you can almost hear him thinking about what an odd day this has become.

I can't tell if this suppose to be apart of the demon plot, a red herring for the demon plot, or completely unrelated.

That's a good point, one that I hadn't really considered. He could be a demon in disguise that just happened to get pulled in by Lois without her realizing it. It would explain why there hasn't even been a name given yet.

I'm leaning myself toward the aardvark is basically what he seems to be: A recently former human who is tagging along with this crazy quartet because, well, why not? The longer he hangs out, the more likely it seem that he's going to be some critical role coming up. Something about him not being sent from Heaven, but also having the mental part of the animal curse broken.

I was referring to the food truck. I feel like it could be a vector for the curse and I can hear Steward writing the message, or it could just be a random oddly specific food truck.

Also I was thinking that's how the Matrix should have ended, with Neo just believing he'd beaten the Agents but was really back in the power plant, like the rescue sequence at the end of Brazil.

Anyway, there may be a demon, getting into the car when all of you are buying sandwiches, sitting in the backseat, and trying to make a deal about changing you guys back to human by working for him, but no one has noticed him...

Argh, the delicious sandwiches truck is ruining the mission! Lois was saying something surely important, and he forgot it... Evidently you're all hungry, eheh. It's not time for pauses, though... Well, for one dollar, those conditions are acceptable, and then the crust is edible. Curious name for that clothes shop.

Did anybody else think for a minute there that the food truck owner was Eudoant there trying to trick them into letting their guard down so he could destroy them?
